Also just to clarify, I know Froggy Chair part of the free update. I don’t want this video to mislead anyone, you DON’T need NSO for Froggy Chair. This video is more about the way Nintendo will finally give us what we want, but then pull another monkeys paw and do something anti-consumer… and the way they shoved it in the Animal Crossing Direct like they’d think we wouldn’t notice… Yes Froggy Chair is free, but what did it REALLY cost 😔
I don’t think it’s anti consumer to have a large expansion pack you don’t need NSO for. Anti consumer would be nickel and diming people for microtransactions like EA, Ubisoft, Microsoft, etc
I know, this video is more to criticize Nintendo's weird decision to shove the new NSO pricing in the Animal Crossing direct after showing us all this cool new stuff, like they hope we won't notice the absurd price...
Most people are already paying 20 a year for online, the dlc is 25. So if you're already paying for online and are going to pay 25 dollars for the dlc whats 5 more dollars to get the expansion pack? Idk why people are so up in arms about this. And it likely won't be the only DLC content included with the expansion pack I'm sure they'll do something similar for other games in the future.
@@elusivv6916 the big difference with that is paying the $25 for the dlc is a one time payment and it’s yours to keep forever. The expansion pass essentially means you pay for the dlc multiple times and lose access to it if you don’t want to pay for it anymore.
@@elusivv6916 The major difference is people like me who don't have Animal Crossing shouldn't have to pay $30 for just n64 since that's all we really want.
@@andyblargextra Yeah thats totally understandable. I guess I'm just thinking about it from the perspective of people who do have animal crossing and do want the DLC
Hey so ACNH is my first Animal Crossing so I'm a new fan to the franchise so let me humbly ask you all a genuine question. What is with the obsession with this particular chair? Is it nostalgia or something more?
Froggy chair had been in every Animal Crossing game along with the lilypad table until ACNH. So it got memed to death when ACNH came out because of the lack of froggy chair. But I'm glad they finally added this staple Animal Crossing set back in the game
you can buy the dlc for 25 on its own you should only get the expansion pass if you want online, nintendo 64 games and sega games but if you dont then just buy it since the expansion isnt worth it for most
Im sorry but $49:99 FOR A FREAKING UPDATE?! No sir I’ll just make my one vacation island on my island 🏝 Edit: I know it’s a free update I mean the Vacation Islands-
the update is free including most of the new stuff, its just the new dlc 'happy home paradise' which is not cost 50 its cost 25. you pay 50 if you want the full bundle for a year which includes nintendo 64 games, sega games and nintendo online.

You also don’t need NSO for the DLC. You can buy it on its own in the eShop as usual
Costed us 8 years

the froggy chair is literally in the free update lmao
exactly, plus the prices shown are only for the online expansion subscription, the dlc can be bought on its own with a one-time purchase
I know, this video is more to criticize Nintendo's weird decision to shove the new NSO pricing in the Animal Crossing direct after showing us all this cool new stuff, like they hope we won't notice the absurd price...
@@TheChiptuner oh sorry lol didn’t catch that
@@sparklysaturn All good, it’s awesome Froggy Chair is free though. But we still have to suffer with bad NSO prices lol
@@TheChiptuner You're not getting outta this one that easily.
DEFAULT FROG
etika is rolling around hearing about the 80 dollar nintendo online family pack
Could also buy the Happy Home Paradise DLC on it's own for 25usd, you don't need that Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack crap.
but the froggy chair is free

It was a HUGE meme within the community around mid 2020
Froggy chair had been in every Animal Crossing game along with the lilypad table until ACNH. So it got memed to death when ACNH came out because of the lack of froggy chair. But I'm glad they finally added this staple Animal Crossing set back in the game
its a big part of past games, also its adorable and it was a big meme

An optional upgrade, to be fair. Regular versions will still have the original price.
no, it’s $25. that’s just if you want the bundle of a bunch of other stuff. idk why nintendo put this in afterwards, it made it super confusing
You can buy the DLC separately for $25, and Froggy Chair is part of the free content
the update is free including most of the new stuff, its just the new dlc 'happy home paradise' which is not cost 50 its cost 25. you pay 50 if you want the full bundle for a year which includes nintendo 64 games, sega games and nintendo online.
