I feel like that's what a lot of comic book heroes really are. Especially for comic bookwriters growing up around a more bullying environment than today's they were probably fantasizing about being some mild mannered, smart, nerdy guy or kid who would become a superman, hulk, spiderman, etc and be able to have power over people

Techno actually can be a relevant character. If he intuitively knows how to use any machine including vehicles like planes, ships and NASA rockets then he could unleash quite a bit of havoc or save many lives. If his story takes place in sci-fi setting with impossible technology then his ability becomes even more useful.
Not only that but he can operate it with great dexterity giving him the biggest edge against anybody who is considered a licensed pilot.

hayday is an amazing concept, great setup for a story about a guy that have to continue be creative. interesting thought material about creativity in the threat of death and the struggles to stand out and continue improving
It actually does sound like a great concept for the harsh writing industry and how creative people need to keep coming up with new ideas or risk falling off.
All of his pitched characters are centered around his own troubles in life. What a brilliant sketch 😂

You know what? The idea that a hero/villain would have to keep innovating and/or performing a certain task could provide an interesting idea for Heyday. Techno could work on his own. Road Rage could work if you made him like a Mad Max post apocalyptic warlord or something. Homestead could be a spymaster/master manipulator working for the government. The Fired Bunch could be a comedy about a group of desperate mercenaries who constantly screw up their jobs and get fired.
