Hi, should I remove Speed Optimizer, WP-Optimize-clean, compress, cache and Converter for Media?
It looks like I will be able to replace all this apps with Airlift? It will be wonderful, let see it. Thanks
I'm pretty sure you can replace all of those. I don't think Airlift will clean up your database like WP-Optimize can. But you could just do that once a year by installing WP-Optimize, clean the database and uninstall it.
That was insane. I went from 29 on mobile to 91. Ridiculous results. There must be some kind of catch...
Not that I'm aware of. At first I thought it must be a paid plugin with a trial period, but the free version is free forever and works really well.

@@wplearninglab I set it up. It did optimise the pics to a point that it looked low res to me. Maybe that can be resolved by changing some settings. And it messes up a Elementor website , as it renders elements only when you scroll to it. I also don't like the fact that it does not optimise the actual website, but creates an optimised copy.
It does do what it says though and gives u very good scores and performance is great, I just feel it's at a cost though. But I did disable it just hours after I tried it. Until it's better.

I think the Elementor section loading is related to lazy load settings in Airlift. And you might be right about waiting until it's better. It's a pretty new plugin and they're working on improving it.
can it use with others cache like wp rockets?
I would recommend using Airlift on it's own. The reason being there aren't a lot of settings you can turn off, so it's likely that conflicts could occur between Airlift and other optimization or caching plugins.
I had this on one of my clients website as a test, but it turned out faulty. The result was that the home page was not showing up any foto's any more. After deactivating this plug-in everything worked again as normal. So no this is no plug-in for me.

Thanks Bert! This plugin is fairly new and so there may be a few bugs that come up in certain situations. My feeling is their support would help you figure it out, but there are also other options for improving page speed too.
@@wplearninglab thanks for your reply. I will surely look for other options for improving page speed. Other problem is that tis is a WordPress site on Windows IIS. Also not the best choice, but that’s from the history.

I has a client site that was hosted on Windows IIS back in the day. It's different...
Totally messed up three of my test sites. Apparently a server issue with their (Airlift's) IP address being dynamic and not static.
That's not cool. I'm not sure why it would affect your sites that way and not others.
@@wplearninglab Apparently, my server needs to allow Airlift's dynamic IP addresses, which it was blocking. TBH, I got a bit bored and did not request the changes to my hosting company (20i). I might re-visit Airlift again soon, when I get a spare moment.
Shortpixel recently released a similar plugin called FastPixel and it has a free plan too. The Airlift free plan is much more generous though. I'll probably look into FastPixel and maybe make a video comparing the two.
