In this video, I'll show you how to use an extended length receiver hitch ham radio antenna mast mount to set up a portable radio operating station. If you're into ham radio, you know that having a good antenna is key to successful communications. However, setting up a tall mast to support your antenna can be challenging, especially when you're out in the field. That's where this handy device comes in.
Throughout the video, I'll explain the different components of the mount and how they work together to create a sturdy and reliable setup. Whether you're a seasoned ham radio operator or just getting started, this video will provide you with a valuable tool for improving your radio communications when you're on the go.

Yes, the prices have probably gone up since I paid for mine. Army surplus stores have been the win for me.

Great video and content. Tried to contact the maker for the hitch mount bracket, but after inputting the provided gmail address, I do not get his website. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for all you do.

What are you using to mount the antenna to the back door/hatch of your van?

Do you mean my 70cm / 2m antenna mount ? That was a comet lips mount

      @@hamradiowithkevin okay. Thank you.
I found the category of "door jamb antenna mounts" after commenting. So now I have that all to look into.
I had thought about putting a "permanent" Meshtastic LoRa radio on my Dodge Caravan, but I don't want to drill holes or mark it up unless I have to.
Putting in a CB would be nice, but we'll see what I can get away with.

Physically, I might be able to balance 6 or so. A windy day might influence that number ;)
