- Join my large family of 12 for a homeschool Morning In The Life. The morning is our busiest time of the day, and if we can execute our morning routine well, it sets us up for success for the rest of the day! We go through breakfast, morning Bible and memorization time our Memoria Press homeschool recitation time, and then we hit the books hard with Math, Latin, and Classical Composition!

Hi from India. Thank you for the content. It is hard for me to describe how much helpful it is to get a peek into the daily routines of a happy home. Show the way, USA !
Exciting to find a Memoria family!
Thank you!! There's not nearly enough Memoria content out there, so I'm trying to fill the void in a small way.
We use Memoria Press with our three kids. 😊 Nice to “meet” you! (I am pretty slouchy admittedly 😅 but you aren’t wrong!)
How long have you been using Memoria Press, Lauren?
So happy to find you! I have eight under ten :) we are hoping to transition to Memoria Press next year. Wishing you blessings xoxo
You will love it! It's been such a blessing for our family, I only wish I had started it sooner!
I folded my laundry as i watched yoy fold yours! 😂 Thanks for the link to the bathmats...my Mom does the same and my mats are getting old!
So happy to have found your channel...I also am a Memoria Press homeschooling mama of 11! Your day sounds so very much like mine. I also use my sourdough starter daily, recently discovered the towel-like bathmats, and have had a long-time pencil nemesis, as well! 😄
Sounds like we're twins! :)
Homeschool mama here too!
Yes on the bath towle mats. I thought of it after being at a hotel and it is so nice ri easily change it out.
Aren't they great, I'm so glad I purchased them!!
It was lovely sharing the morning with you and your family Ashley. You are so organized. I suppose you have to be with 12 in the family. Only the 2 of us in our house, so mornings are very quiet. I'm up at 7am and have a nice cup of earl grey tea to start my morning. I like to prep my evening meal and other food prep first thing in the morning. I don't have breakfast till about 10am, so dont bother with lunch. I imagine its quite difficult to homeschool as well as all the other things you have to do during the day. I'll have a look out for those lavendar dryer packs, sounds lovely. Thank you so much for sharing your life with us, xxx.
Thank you, Dee!! I am not a naturally organized person, it is something I have had to work at and develop the skill. It's been worth it, but I do still have plenty of growing in that area. :)
I agree with your sentiment about always wanting to keep yourself and your home presentable. But how do you have time to clean while caring for a large family? I am embarrassed by our home because it is never presentable despite me cleaning every day the moment school is done up until dinner time. I only have 3 kids, but still nothing is clean. It really frustrates me because I wish I had that time free to do fun activities with the kids, but it is still never clean. When do you have time to clean the house???
A big part of me keeping the home clean is that all of my children have chores and we do them daily, throughout the day with a routine. I wouldn't be able to keep the house clean with 11 children, all by myself, we work as a team! I have more info about how I accomplish this on my website, freedommoms.com
You speak of church functions and gatherings. Are you comfortable sharing what religion and denomination you are a part of? Also, thanks for sharing about the TJ's lavender sachets. I'm definitely interested in trying that out.
Sure! We attend a small, conservative PCA (reformed Presbyterian) church. Let me know what you think about the lavender sachets! They are just so pleasant!
I love those bath mats. Thanks for the link!
Oh, I can't find it, did it do it wrong?
They are a game changer!!
I just posted the link in the description box for you :)
You've mentioned before that you have changed curriculum recently. Can you share why you made that decision and what you used to use and what you currently use?
That video is coming Friday!!
Do you have a pencil sharpener that you recommend that has worked really well for your large family?
Haha, kind of...I bought one of the old school hand crank pencil sharpeners and had my husband mount it outside off of the back deck. I couldn't stand the constant pencil shavings on the floor when we had it inside. I've found that the electric sharpeners just eat up the pencils so I don't like those. Some of the kids sharpen their pencils with their knives...which is such a homeschool thing for them to do! ;)
Are you using the K program with Memoria for your younger children?
I will be using the Jr. Kindergarten program for my 4 year old starting in the fall. I started my other younger children with first grade.
What curriculum is that with the recitation work?
It's Memoria Press. :)
Is it multipurpose vinegar? I couldn't read what it said
Also do you put vinegar in every load of laundry.
I would love to see a video or if you could just tell me all the subjects you do in one day.
The planning also.
Yes, it's plain white vinegar, and I put some in each load.
