    The cutting accuracy on these is so impressive. At my place of work, the normal process for cutting our brackets is going through 3 processes starting with a shear, then onto a punch press, and then a splitter to make 2 brackets. The trumpf laser cuts the brackets so precise that it makes a super sharp edge on the brackets that actually shaves off bits of brass on the bracket welders. I'm not in that department anymore, but I've heard they're having to change the process for the final welding of the brackets to prevent having to change the brass in the bracket welders after every production run of a certain size. Our old laser cuts at about 300 in/min. Our new trumpf laser cuts at 960 in/min! Impressive piece of engineering! I put in for the job to run it, but unfortunately didn't get it.

    I ran a 3030 for 12 years and you check the center the beam at the start of every shift.and there great for doing government jobs

      @@rnicko86 as long as the machine gets regularly serviced I work a c02 trumpf 3030 manufactured in 2006 still going strong I used to work the old 3030 Bosch control one that was still going after 20 years the worst thing to happen is getting water into the resonator.

    aluminum seems to have bur all along the edges every part I cut. I don't know what the proper settings are. trumpfs settings don't work

      it is also the nature of the material. aluminum will always leave a ridge more aggressive than any other material.

    • @Notreallyhere817r
      @Notreallyhere817r Před 6 lety

      It will always have a bur on it unless it is very thin aluminium. Try cutting 15mm aluminium the bur is ridiculous

    • @BA-wt1gl
      @BA-wt1gl Před 6 lety

      I don't have much experience with newer lasers, but with an older laser after much fine-tuning my parts still needed a bit of deburr work. I think it's the reflective nature of aluminum that makes it especially difficult to cut without dross/burr. Keep fine-tuning, and good luck to you. Anything over .063 aluminum having a burr is normal. .090 or .125 thick it is well known you will have a burr, very little you can do about it.
