- 279. Taking Resin Art Into A BRAND NEW DEPTH!
In todays Resin Art video, I show you how you can create crazy layered effects using hairspray! I am blown away at how well this works alongside resin art!
This has so much potential with our resin art, imagine the designs, color options and sizes you could tweak this for! And the depth is on another level!
I think everyone is going to have a lot of fun playing around with this resin art technique! Again, be sure to tag me so I can see your take on this!

That is neat!! You could even make a picture frame like that.
Thanks, yes, 100% 😁
Hiya… could you explain what you mean by make a picture frame? 🙏 ♥️♥️🇦🇺
@@Oonagh72 that's a really cool idea!
@@mattersofthehartbynat8815 I think they're saying that, instead of using the green chameleon flakes, you could put a picture and have the stencil make like a window/frame to see the photograph through. (At least that's how I imagine it working)
I love this! After the 8 sprays…I had a flashback to what I’d do every morning to my parents bathroom countertop in the ‘80’s! 😂 Can’t wait to try this!
Hairspray Sales around the World have risen thanks To you
Ive now got a can in my resin drawer, had to ask the Mrs to go buy it for me lol
😂😂😂😂
You could definitely make that look 3d ! 1st layer the outside of the stencil 2nd layer the leaves 3rd layer the trunk of the tree!!! Would be insanely beautiful too
I always hit the thumb button as soon as I start watching. I only watch people that I know are giving great content. Thanks for all you do, Daniel.
Thanks so much Linda 😊 🙏
If you take Mod Podge spray it will do it with one spray because its wide and slow at the same time. I tried this instead of hairspray which of course doesnt work for the textured hairspray effect. But my acrylic varnish will do the same thing. Pretty cool.
Awesome, does it dry completely clear? I must get some if it does 🥰 Thank you
@@daniel..cooper sure does!
Another brilliant idea Jen!! I’m off to buy some Mod Podge spray!!
Love from Nat. ♥️♥️🇦🇺
Thank you for sharing. Now to find some good stencils! 🎉
@mattersofthehartbynat8815 Thanks Nat! I use it to suspend the dandelions and then just to "finish" off my UV resin jewelry or instead of lacquer to make something shiny.
The depth of the design is fantastic ❣️ And thanks for the tips on demolding and starting at lower wattage with the lamp💥 You never cease to amaze Daniel❣️
I certainly did like this, sparkle, colour change, depth and resin what's not to like, glad you can't be changed.
12:08 poP, I also emphasise the "p" only to myself cos no one is listening 🤣Great work Mr C 💖
😂😂😂
@@alisonmary1443 pop a lol

Thanks Tammy 😁 😊 Yes, imagine a table like this on a bigger scale though! 🤯🥰
@@daniel..cooper ohhhh my Yes!!! That would be AMAZING 🤩 Y
It’s fabulous! You are just an experimenting machine, Daniel! 😆
Thanks Barb 😁 😊 🫂
@@daniel..cooper , no, thank you! You do all the experimentation, and we get the the fabulous “how to” results! ❤️
I imagine favorite stencils could be duplicated; one masked for trunks and one masked for leaves, giving even more depth with three pours. Very nice effect either way👍
Incredible crispness and depth. Well done Daniel, and I am excited to see the videos you have planned, with lol of the maxing ideas swirling around in your creative mind
Thanks Kelly 😁 😊 🫂

Thanks Deb 😁 😊 🫂 Very welcome 😊 🙏
Another amazing technique🔥, thank you for sharing and have a awesome day!
Thanks Samantha 😁
Another great video Daniel thank you! ❤
My pleasure! Thank you 😁 😊
This is exactly what I had in mind from a few videos ago 😄 I wonder just how far the effect can be taken and how many layers you can get and still have an idea of what is there. Thanks for taking the time to make the video for us👍
Thanks 😁 Can definitely do multiple layers 😁
Absolutely brilliant Daniel, an amazing effect.
Thanks Andrew 😊🥰🫂
I wish that I was just 1/4 talented as you are. Shoot even 1)8 wiuld be amazing! Thank you from all us out there whi are si thankful for your brain & your experinents so we can see someone do what we always are scared to try on our own! Thank you for sharing!
Oh, that's super cool. I've a full can of hairspray, so i will have to try this. Thank you for everything you teach us ❤
Thank you 😁 Have fun creating 🥰
@daniel..cooper I sure will, and you keep them coming, lol hehe
That little extra piece is pretty too in it's own way.
You know, it would be even more interesting if you did more than one stencil layer. That is, do a stencil + hairspray on the mould, brush on your powder, do a thin layer, and then do *another* stencil + hairspray on *that* layer, brush on a different powder, do another thin layer, then brush on a third powder, another thin layer, and then do the backing layer. Of course you'd have to pick two stencils that looked good overlapping each other, but I think it would be worth a try.
100% 🥰
Thank you so much for this video. As usual, you are very clear and very generous with your knowledge. I am definitely going to try this.❤
Thanks Cathy 😁 😊 🫂
You always amaze me. You are awesome
So amazing Daniel. I love it!
Thanks as always Barb 🥰🫂
Thumbs down for what?? Great video, thanks Daniel. Love that shadow effect
Thanks Jacqui 😁 😊 🫂 It happens but it's fun 😂🥰
Love the deeper effect one the best! Thank you for such detailed info
Love the depth achieved!
Thanks Kathryn 😁 😊
Who would have guessed that hair spray could be such a winner with resin. Amazing. Here's your crown Daniel. 👑
Thank you 😁 😊 🙏 🫂
I LOVE watching your videos!!! Thank you for doing them. The hack you recently did by adding molds inside of molds (skull) and then popping then out so they could be filled with glycerin or whatever... AMAZING!! So keep doing what you're doing! I'm learning so much from you. 😊
Stunning effect! Beautiful colours! Love this! I’ve plenty of unused hair lacquer that I no longer use, unless for the odd occasion, as I’ve long hair.thanks Dan. 👍☺️🫶🏻
Thanks Sue 😁 😊
Hi Daniel great results 😍, love all your amazing techniques thanks for sharing ❤ xx
Thanks so much 😊
Beautiful! The hairspray discovery is so cool, there is so much you can do with it! Thank you for sharing such an awesome thing with us^^ And the last little test, not putting a resin layer between the flakes/colors, I was just thinking you could make amazing backgrounds for coasters and jewelry, where the colors are there but the image is simply implied.
You are so welcome! Thank you, yes, so much can be achieved with a few tweaks 🥰
The piece at the end is pretty. Would work as jewelry. Good work. Thanks.
Thanks 😁 Yes, totally would 🥰
Super once again
Thanks 😁
That is such a great idea! I really loved the more 'just green' - it had a lovely intense leafy color that worked so well. The depth though was so cool. My thought was it could fool you that you had some specialty vinyl cut piece before you commented the vinyl comparison. Keep up the good work!
Thanks so much! 😊
This is beautiful! I'm just starting out with resin doing something totally different, but I love this. Thank for this video!👍
Daniel, I’m relatively new, but I’m totally obsessed! My resin experiments aren’t turning out like yours yet, but I’m going to keep trying until l master it! I love your work. 🇦🇺❤️🙏🏽🙏🏽
Your ideas are so inspiring! The second coaster is so beautiful compared to the first one, which is no slouch either. Thank you for sharing, Daniel!
Thanks so much 😊 🙏
That is a fantastic experiment with some fantastic results Daniel thank you and no matter what some negative critics say I find your tutorials invaluable ❤
I love the depth effect that creates! So cool!
Thanks Sam 😁 😊
Why would anyone thumbs down 😢 your work is lovely, i always thumbs up ❤
Thank you 😁 I'm certain it's other creators, there's a trend with every video 😂 it's funny 🤣
This is really cool. I need to get some hairspray for sure 😂. ✌️❤️🤣 peace, love and happiness
Love this, tge deeper clear layer is much better. Great content.
Thank you 😁
WOW Dan just WOW

You know, Daniel I have love seeing all these different videos you create you know I’ve been following you for quite a few years now and I just think it’s awesome. How much you experiment with stuff you know I think ever since the first time Mark introduced me to you I have experimented and followed you and stuff and I am so glad that you are doing so great and you are so creative, just keep doing it. I love watching your videos. I haven’t done much resin lately but I think probably I may get back into it thank you.

Thanks Sherry 😁 Have fun creating 🥰
That is the coolest idea turned out stunning thank you again Daniel for sharing!!!
Thanks so much 😊 🙏
Very pretty!!
WOW, love it! That turned out beautifully. I'm thinking the multiple layers of hairspray really made the depth look so amazing
This is swesome!!! Such ingenuity!! You amaze me every video! ❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you Diane 😁 😊 🙏
I really like the extra depth of the in between pour, obviously the less the better if going for a stained glass effect, but for something like that coaster it looks really good.
That is really cool! I love that depth that you got!
Thanks as always Lisa 🥰🫂
It would make a pretty pendant
100% 🥰🥰🥰
Beautiful! The colors are so saturated!
Thank you 😁
Thankas to very wonderfull art daniel sir ❤❤❤❤
Thanks so much 😊 🙏
Checking in only 2 days late! 😊
WOWWW. These are both GORGEOUS, Dan! Yes, "we" used Lime for the 2nd one. 😁 I love the depth of it - so cool! - but I love the color on the first! Thank you, Dan!
As always, I hit the like before the video even starts. 😊💕
nice one Daniel I really look forward to your videos, your brain must tick at a million miles an hour.
Thanks Doreen 😁 😊 🫂
Hey Daniel, this is awesome! It gives such depth! I've tried using the hairspray technique, major fails but in truth I was using a cheap hairspray. I'll get the brand you have and try again. Brill video x
Thank you, yes, definitely very handy to have a can as I think more will come with hairspray 😉🥰
