It's just Dan doing things Dan's way. The original is a beautiful ballad but Dan has to make it metal and epic. With his amazing vocals and fabulous guitarist, this became an high powered anthem. Thank you for another fun reaction. Dan vowed that he was going to turn the saddest song in the world into a power metal anthem. And so he and two of his selected guitarists tore the song apart and set it on fire! 🔥🔥🔥. Not only does Dan have his voice perfectly trained, his creativity in adapting songs into something uniquely his own, but equally as good as OR better than the original, is unheard of. I'll bet Celine would have loved this version.. ❣

Thanks for reacting to this fantastic supercharged version of an iconic song. The original is a sad song, sung in Celine Dion's signature style (the same one that she uses ALL THE TIME). The original was a ballad that made me personally feel melancholic whereas Dans rendition has changed the story to one of power and triumph. As a listener I choose the latter and Dan never disappoints. When he decides to “fix” a song you will always feel ready to go conquer something after listening 😂 🔥 💪

I've got a theory, a working hypothesis if you will...
I think Dan works out just before he films his videos, that way he is physically pumped up from the work out, giving him the bigger look. I've noticed the last couple of videos have been similar, in that Dan looks humungous compared to his every day look... not that he is small by any means.
He was live on Geeks and Gamers shortly after the release of the video, and he looked his "normal" size, not as big as he is in this video.
I know that a lot of the actors that have bulked up for a movie role will pump weights onset before a scene, and between takes, to look as big as possible on film,,, plus lighting and camera angles can be played with for greater effects. Dan is getting better and better at his videography/cinematography. He has never been one to rest on his laurels. He is always striving to be better than the last thing he did and, I for one, greatly appreciate all the hard work he puts in.

@@grandy2875 you are probably right. About a year ago, Dan said he rubs oil on his skin before recording. Recently, he said he set a gym up in his house so he could work out every day. I don’t know exactly what he is doing, but whatever it is, he looks great!
On guitar we have Garret J Peters leaving this mind-blowing song with our Dan, turning it into a super epic song beyond anything imaginable. The icebergs melted and the Titanic didn't sink. Tks

The original by Celine Dion was a massive hit back in the day. Dan vowed to "turn the saddest song in the world into a battle anthem of power metal". And he sure did. I love the ear flip at 5:27; ear candy! I love that he and Garrett Peters take a slow sad song and ramp it up and make it a celebration of joy. Someone said "don't be sad it ended. Be glad it happened." That's what I hear in this rendition. Magic!

The original fitted the film perfectly. Dan and Garrett have kept that emotion but made it strong and triumphant.. finding love and holding on to it.. Love the production, the layering, the riffs and guitar solo just everything.. they seemed to have fun doing this... Dan looks and sounds incredible. A power metal anthem now.. just what 2024 needs. When you get a chance, you should check out Dan’s cover of the Star Spangled Banner. He made that cover as an homage to the US for the 4th of July back in 2019. You also need to check out his apology video right after because when the cover first came out, a lot of people weren’t happy that he sang the American National Anthem, as he’s from Brazil, so he addresses that in the video. You won’t be disappointed, trust me. 🙂

You should hear the original to have something to compare this version to. Dan did such an awesome job. Celine Dion’s original is much slower and softer.
The original song is about half as fast - it never takes off like this.

Extremely different from the original. I must admit that he is s great guitarist and vocalist but personally I much prefer the original by Celine Dion.😅
It's two different people - Dan does vocals and Garrett is the guitarist. Not trying to change your mind with this, but I always thought the original was boring and meh. For me, it was terribly dull. Celine sang it well; it just never really worked for me. This one, though - when Dan said he waa doing it, I didn't know what to think, but I absolutely love it. It's not sappy or melancholy; it's a warrior's victory even over grief and loss.
