Eritrea isn't similar to North Korea better do much researching before concluding wrongfully like this
He isn't suggesting they are culturally similar. The similarity is in the level of repression and lack of freedom.

@michinwaygook3684 Yes that's why I responded It's not the same Eritreans have much more freedoms than North Koreans and better living standards Eritrean case is unique
Eritrea used to be democratic and actually has a democratic constitution but has suspended it for decades now imposing state of emergency for 2 decades now becoming a militarized state due to multiple invasion attempts by It's much larger neighbour in the south Ethiopia while North Korea chose to be one because the Dynasty of KIM claims lineage from Korean Divine Gods
It's baseless to even consider the two states Eritreans have much more rights and access to international community either be through internet,TV or even use of passports while in North Korea only KIM Dynasty with few generals have those privileges while the rest are forced to be taught none sense propaganda from kindergarten.
The day Eritrea has support from international community and it's borders are physically demarcated with ethiopia and ethiopia is forced to abide by international law it will be the day Eritrea will have a democracy because no one in Eritrea not even the elite want the miserable (Militarized) status to continue while in North KOREA even if South Korea is annexed by it the KIM family would continue this none sense It's blood is seen as divine (HOLY)
That's why posted this comment should do much more researches than copy pasting stuff written by ignorant ppl.
@michinwaygook3684 the issue isn't if Eritrea is a democratic state but whether it's a North Korean state which is none sense.
Both are very different in everything dear haircuts and dress codes are limited in North Korea imagine even Turkmenistan only white colored Cars are allowed
Putting Eritrea with those is Total none sense one visit to all three will show you the mistakes in this video
