"Chum & weapons just don't mix!" If only the fool had listened & stayed off the pipe his good life would have kept good.

Tracy's pistole at 14:41 is very similar to the pistols used in Algiers during the piracy wars between Algerian Kabyles with Ottoman Muslims against European powers.
Some governments of these countries will pay dearly for the gun to be installed in their national museum. She was right not to sell it.

I'm no expert but it was dated a bit late for piracy's hey-day. It looked more manufactured for nobility than any "wrong un's" though it might have fallen into scally's hands later! Nice piece though.

@@russell-di8js I am not at all an expert in this area. But the small state of Algiers, with a population of 60,000 to 100,000 and which had defeated European powers on the Mediterranean Sea for centuries, was defeated in 1830 by France when they attacked by land and outnumbered them. They also took advantage of the tensions between the natives and the Ottomans who lived there. The expert on these weapons said he believed they were made around the turn of the 19th century.
As far as I know, in some countries citizens are not allowed to own anything that has significant historical value.
So, I think her selling the gun to a collector who works for a government of some country is a big possibility.
Again, I have no idea where this gun was made, but I have seen similar ones in the Algiers Museum.
