Or playing it in nightmare mode, Shane being far too agro and making the group bite off more than they could chew. Either way if Shane was still alive he'd completely change the course of the show

I miss these early stages of the show so much. I remember watching the first season with my dad as a kid and there truly wasn’t any other zombie show or movie that captured the depressing atmosphere of the apocalypse so well
Seeing Rick and Shane work together like this is awesome. And the fact that Shane comes out of nowhere to help shows how Shane and Rick used to be partners and do this shit on the regular. It’s a cool detail
Yeah, I loved the cop martial arts/teamwork stuff they did. It was pretty well choreographed too. Wrestling bigger opponents and disarming them was pretty realistic

He's very kind hearted but is ravaged by survivors guilt, everyone he cares about over the years dies in front of him no matter how hard he fights to protect them and for some reason he's cursed to be the last man standing, its why he would rather spend his time alone

Was season 8, was when Daryl and Rick were trying to get the 50cal off the vehicle that crashed, they were fighting, and the fight was interrupted when the vehicle was, and then did explode. The awkward silence was when Rick said 'choke hold's illegal' kinda to lighten the mood
He still had his training cop techniques same in s6 when Ethan tried to stab him also when he disarmed carter and when he fought some saviors with daryl he disarmed one with a similar technique, Rick is very skilled

I can't believe how long ago this was now. I remember the first commercial I saw for the show and how I went to run to tell my brother. I was just freshly 22 years old my mom had passed away year-and-a-half ago and my girlfriend was living in Connecticut when I was living in Florida and I remember telling her about it. I remember watching the first season with my brother and being so bummed out that it was only six episodes and we had to wait 11 months for season 2. I've so many memories of watching this show. So many season finales. I remember watching the season 6 finale at my buddy's house in Tampa the same night is WrestleMania. And being on the phone with my girlfriend who I was fighting with. Then when we finally found out who negan killed, I remember I was split with that girlfriend and was on a cruise with the same people that I watched the season finale with and I was hungover as hell throwing up the entire car ride back home and watching the episode on his phone to figure out who negan got. Now I'm 35 years old. I have had many different girlfriends, I live in Georgia instead of Florida my brother and I still talk about the first time we watch the show. And the girl that I was dating that lived in Connecticut just had her first baby and she and I are still friends. This show was a huge part of my life. It was more than 1/3 of my life. It's the only show that I watched the very first episode of live when it started and continued watching until the series finale. There have been many shows that I have started and not finished or that I have watched after was already over but this is the only one that I started and finished live in real time.
Shane’s built like a god damn Astarte man. A spin off series would have been so cool. Oh well probably would have just turned out like the punisher but with zombies filling out the npc role
