    I love this house. ❤ It feels like Home, and I feel that the folks who own it are nice, and raised children there. (Maybe one passed and/or they need to downsize now or go to assisted living. Stairs are often an issue when we age.) Whoever buys this house is getting a home that was loved and cared for, and where lots of happy memories were made. (positive energy)

      These are always a little sad, in my opinion. America is dying, one household at a time. These are like relics of what was and can never be again. The younger generations left because the jobs dried up, now you've got these little towns of old folks just clinging on as basically one big retirement community. I used to live in a little farm town in E. Washington that was basically the same way. Wonderful, wonderful people (I've seen 4 cars stopped on the highway helping a total stranger change a tire) but the young ones have just moved on, leaving a husk.

    Excellent Presentation Nancy! You're giving Phil a run for his money! (Just doing a little pot stirring ✌️😁)
    Too big for me, but I believe this would qualify for Maine First Time Buyer Funds.. 1% of Buyer Funds.. with Improvement funding also.. add that garage. This place is worth every dime of the asking price. In other markets, there'd be multi-offers, and this would see 150K+.. Somebody buy this. ☝️🙄

    I'm old enough that it wouldn't make much difference, but for a young couple or family it's worth considering "investing" in a community whose population has decreased by 40% since 1970, exceeded only by the larger community of Millinocket which has lost 47% of it's citizens...almost half the population, gone...
    Hope you get ALL the money, Nancy!

    Looks like being that old it should be rewired. No closets in the two smaller bedrooms would be a big problem. Also at least a half bath on the main floor is needed.

    I’m looking for a ranch style, one floor. I’d like to see a pond, the ocean, etc but I do not want to be near the shore. A small town, but within one hour to a good hospital. I’ll live there all year. I’d like neighbors, but I don’t want to see them. If the lot has water or a good well, septic, propane fuel and I’ll add solar. Double pane windows, up to date electrics and lots of insulation.
    I like this house, but the stairs are a problem. How can I contact you? I’d like 3/2 or 2/2 and a partially fenced back yard for my dog. If on acres, ONLY the dog fence is needed. Schools are not a concern.

    The problem I have with some of these older homes is the owners want the walls to look new so they put paneling up. Makes a person who grew up in the 50's and 60's want to throw up.

    • @richardtheriault7624
      @richardtheriault7624 Před 11 měsíci +3

      Paneling was all the rage in the 1970's. I know, because that was when it was put up in the home I grew up in.

    • @vallovesnature8449
      @vallovesnature8449 Před 11 měsíci +2

      My house was built in 1956. We only had the pine paneling in the den. Miss it😢

      Sometimes the plaster walls are so bad, they cover with paneling vs fix them. Even new sheetrock screwed over it would be better.

      Ok. We all have our preferences, but why are you expressing yours here? This woman is trying to show a home that is for sale and is earning a living. This is her job. Tell us what you do for a living so the rest of us can sh*t all over it. If you don’t like the home, just move on. There is no reason to try to attempt to ruin her sale. Your inconsiderate behavior makes me want to throw up. You sure don’t have the values of someone who grew up in the 50s and 60s. Are you sure you’re not a millennial?
