This is a beautiful truck. I own a ‘22 ZR2 myself. We have it set up for overlanding. We’ve taken it into terrain it was specifically designed for. Many hours in 4L. Many obstacles with both lockers engaged. It’s been from Canada, to Colorado and all over Utah and Moab. It looks the part. It is dented a bit and well pinstriped. It is an incredible vehicle. I look at this black truck and it screams pavement queen. This is the cleanest “overlanding” rig I’ve ever seen. Just sayin…
But, does your ZR2 have that magic snorkel that can withstand 6 feet of water fording like his does tho? Just keep them windows up lol :-p

No snorkel. Haven’t needed one yet. Could be handy in dirty/dusty conditions. Definitely not for water forging tho. Maybe I slap one on down the road. AEV has a good kit.
I 100% don’t need it, but would look really cool on my new Colorado Trail Boss, I bet it’s at least 3k for install etc etc

Ironic that he has built it to go "anywhere" but seems like he hasn't taken it anywhere but the mall. That under carriage has not a scratch or dent and neither does the paint. You can definitely tell this is built for attention and take it to shows then to actually get out in the elements. lol
Great set up. U should see how them aussies do it in the land down under too. They have cool offroad set up on their trucks too. Especially with the big american trucks now being shipped out there too
I have a 2021 Colorado zr2 and it was loaded and only cost 48 grand, so I think the guy lied a bit on the price and the rest of the build problem only cost Maby 45 grand. so Maby 90 grand alltogether. he didn't do any other the performance parts you can get. its a nice build

He could have gotten fleeced. He seems to think there was 40hrs in installing the aev flares. AEV estimates 16. If some shop charged him 40hrs of labor for the installation…

90k into mods but then the rocker guards, a key part to save your door and rockers if you hit a rock he got a $200 set off amazon
What kind of amber lights on the grill did you use? I can't find any that fit the grill

Guys..I’m trying to work with you here since I just love seeing trucks shown off. Regardless of whatever the truck is, please put a little effort into researching what you’re doing. Seriously, you’re channel viewers will appreciate that. You had now idea what you were talking about, you had no idea of systems in the vehicle..you called Overlanding “crosslanding” 😂 Just a smidge of effort will go along way.
Also, I know you guys come from the flashy world of sports cars where everything has to have a price..but don’t concentrate so much on money, it’s just weird.
Would love to see it with some dirt on it just saying and a few scratches thrown in. Maybe see you on the trail?

The Colorados are NOT quiet with a window down. They possess a low frequency pressure flutter that hurts the ears
If I was gonna dump that kinda money in a Colorado ZR2, I would have waited and did all this to the all new Colorado ZR2, it looks even better, the interiors better, and theirs no comparison to the all new electronics , plus he wanted low end torque, new truck has more than this one, 430#s plus the 11 and a half inch touch screen you can turn your rear camera on while driving and have way way more visibility than this truck, I turn mine on while driving in my new Colorado Trail Boss,,,plus the new ZR2 has 360 cameras even on the underbelly so you can see if your gonna bottom out!

60k truck + 90k in parts = 35k in value.
Great build, but as others pointed out, he either lied about how much money he put into it or you misunderstood the 90k number. Maybe 90l total? But I don't see 90K over the base truck there. Again, great truck... but... no.
I could maybe see 20k over sticker

Uh, WTF he say at 6:46 about the Snorkel? - "As long as water doesn't get above that snorkel you'll literality be O.K. - Just keep the windows closed..?" He seriously has no clue what the snorkel used in this type of application even does or provides? Hint for the Mall Crawler Captain if he even reads this & right off AEV's website: Raises air intake for a cleaner, colder AIR charge - it has nothing to do with water fording lol. I will say, it is a nice "looking" truck tho WITH the exception for that oversized tent, what the heck is that all about? Its like the person selling that was like, "Heck ya man that's going to look sooo sick bro and the chicks are going to dig it!" and it then was bought solely off those recommendations lol.
Now, go put it to work and get er dirty already! Lets see some of those overlanding videos like it was built for. :-)
Probably added an extra 800 pounds of weight. Nice truck but too many accessories added that don’t look sleek.

$90k into it and its not even LS swapped? I have this truck and the V6 and Babymax are just Ok engines but are absolutely riddled with issues.

This build isn’t functional. Might get your somewhere but that’s the truck doing that. These upgrades are horrible. Plus those parts did not cost that much.
