The Tonkawas rendered valuable scouting and tracking services to the Texans in their struggle and battles against the Commanche, here in Texas for many years....

This tribe was known throughout the South West as the cannibal tribe. Most other tribes feared eight taken in conflict by them. This cannibalism as practiced by the Tonkawas was not a ritualistic practice but, constituted a preferred protein of choice.

Kiowas rubbed this tribe out for being cannibals

Kiowas were allowed at best to live in Texas by the Comanches. Kiowas were run out of the black hills by the Sioux, northern Cheyenne. They had to suck up to the Comanches to exist.

Cannibal dance you mean? Couldn’t beat the Comanches so they scouted for the Texans. Still ended up in oklahoma

Interned also with Nazis captured in WW2. I know I lived there at the Tonkawa.p.o.w. Camp up until 1983. The Tonkawa were part of Comanchero. Couldn’t beat the Comanche? I’m confused. I need to scour that source material. I mean the whitewashed version of events.

i was surprised this dance was performed by woman. I would have though Braves would have done this dance.

Having women left over to perform the dance was always the goal of Native American warfare. Not subjugation. My tribe, The Cherokee, would frequently refrain from spilling any more blood once the score was settled. To all of the racists here... I invite you to see a scalp dance in person. Maybe even participate.
