Tiny Camper from Globe Traveller : the Rookie based on Opel Vivaro

- This tiny camper van is a Globe Traveller product. I have already published a film on the Globe Traveller Rookie which is based on the Fiat Talento van which measures 499cm - this version is based on the Opel Vivaro and is 40cm longer. In other words it has the footprint of a car but offers sleeping for three people together with a proper bathroom and toilet and small kitchen annex. Of course with this size there is not much storage - but what vehicles this size also offer a stand up shower and a place to make yourself to eat and a fridge! The bad news is that ths is a prototype which has not entered production so don't ask how much it costs!
I live in a motorhome full time and travel around Europe in it. I spend most of my time in Poland, Germany and Italy. Vanlife is my life.

I do this by regularly attending trade events such as CMT Stuttgart, Abenteuer und Allrad, Caravan Salon Dusseldorf, Warsaw Caravan and Camping Show and sometimes others.
I cover equipment, including 12v electrical equipment and talk a lot about lithium batteries.
I also show some of the places I have visited in Europe in my own motorhome, as well as the places you can stay at! I try to give as much coverage as I can to official campsites and free places which I use for overnighting. Therefore you can find here the aire or stellplatz that you are possibly looking for.

Such as shame this is only a concept vehicle because its perfect for a lot of people. The design is excellent and one of the best layouts I’ve seen.
A campervan with this layout looks ideal for a single traveller, having the ability of keeping the bench and table in the daytime position while sleeping in the top bunkbed

Best single person layout I've seen so far. I would need more info re heating, leisure battery, solar charging, hookup, USB points.
Engine size diesel/ petrol/ auto/ manual gearbox etc.
It is a prototype that so far has not entered production.

Actually it reminds me of a great tragedy that is happening to an very important person under our public eye😪 Anyway, thanks for answering to my not very the subject concerning comment, but it hit me right in my brain seeing u here! I liked your Video a lot, especially for your relaxed and emphatic reporting manner, cos im in the middle of my process wether to buy a mobile tiny houses or a RV for an alternative living concept! I just left Germany two days ago - see the Community section of this channel! I think an RV would be better but I think it is likely to be much more expensive!

If the third bed had its extension to the front of it instead of to the rear, it would also leave the kitchen accessible when the bed is in place.

What a brilliant layout for a small van, I’d like to see the same on the Ducatio/Seville built vans or short/medium sprinter will this be available in the uk Alan Heath?

The upper bed, being open, seems to deal with the claustrophobia I would imagine in some other high beds.

That is extremely nice. If you get a chance to do more please do! I like the bigger ones which have a big garage for my bicycles. If I were to buy one it would have to be second-hand however.
I saw them at Dusseldorf last year but did not film any! I probably won't go to Dusseldorf this year but I might go to Parma!

Always suspicious, when the bed is seen, only made up. The single is neat, but wouldn`t allow any of my kids to sleep up there.
2nd bed should be able deployed while maintain sofa mode below.

Not the full length Robert. Unfortunately it was a prototype that was not built and I suspect now won't be.
I don't get it. Where is the "second bed" when you jump from the first bed to the "third bed"? Am I missing something?
I asked the manufacturer and they informed me that this mini campervan is no longer in production. What a pity as it was fantastic for someone that needed an everyday car and campervan for city use. Mini campervan category with full shower is very rate and that was one that featured one.
I am sure they would make it on request. I will see them next week and ask!

I did. They do not have the production capacity at present.

That single bed is awful, no storage. Buy a sunlight Cliff 540, more storage and a great double. Not too bad small single.

I don't see selling point in this stuff. Too big to be agile and fuel efficient, too small to be really comfortable living in.
it is uncomfortable anything and over engineered with useless or unusable stuffs.
A panda cross or 2x4 diesel and a wingamm rookie 3.5 is probably a better choice reasoning flexibility accessibility in narrow streets, handling and fuel consumption.
Over time how much difference in global costs between this toy and a clever celebration light clever-mobile.de/downloads/Clever_Celebration_Light.pdf or a sunliving 60sp or an Adria twin which are pretty common vans?
