I wanted to make an angsty Oliver vid because I'm so tired of characters on arrow ignoring what he's gone through (*cough* captain lance *cough*) and both the show and the fans agreeing with them. Also I'm angry about the writers always talking about his PTSD as if he no longer has it. Anyway, I like how this came out, but because there's so much stuff from the show that is evidence of what Oliver's been through, I ran out of room and had to leave some stuff out, most notably the quote about being a gun that waller points at things she doesn't like, the quote where he's like "i'm the weapon" (which is fun to meta about considering that he names himself after a weapon not one who carries it, and whether that relates to his own self-image), and the quote from the olicity date in 3x01 about not seeing people for people.

This is so amazing. And I totally I agree with you the writers have forgotten that Oliver has PTSD and the characters (especially in the first season) don't realize what he went through on the island. I can't say it enough how amazing this video is!

I absolutely love the approach you made to the video. How it focuses on his PTSD. Coming someone who has suffered from a form of PTSD, I can say this is exactly how it feels. Daily thoughts, feeling, (demons) constantly resurfacing. Reliving the horrors of the past over and over.
Personally, I feel like I can relate to Oliver and hard decisions he has made. I was immediately drawn to his character, and how his past deals with his current scenarios.
I love the video, the meaningful quotes and the music you chose for this piece. Thank you for making this. You are an artist

You have a unique talent for being able to synthesize the parallels from different parts of the show and match them to the lyrics, and I think it's a real shame that you don't have more views. This sums up all of the amazing themes in the first couple of seasons. Before he got this new team of heroes and all of this nonsense. The show was better when it was grittier and the biggest mistake this show made was not getting older with its audience.

i don't know the context behind this comment, but in case you have a mac, imovie is a GREAT way to get started editing videos! thats how i edited my first 3 or so, and while it's not the most robust software in the world, it absolutely works.
