School of Civil Engineering: Inauguration of a high-capacity universal testing machine

In December 2022 the School of Civil Engineering launched its new high-capacity universal testing machine to university, industry and research representatives.
With a 20 Meganewton capacity, it's the largest facility of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere and will be crucial in testing innovative materials for infrastructure, such as concrete, steel, and carbon-fibre reinforced polymers.
