    PHL (Philadelphia) is my home airport, I flew frontier 171 from gate E6 on June 20th!

    Thanks for your trip report. We're connecting through MIA to CZM soon. I'll get to check out the 787 in April during a west coast trip, looking forward to that. This airplane seems so quiet!

    Nice video, lucky you were able to get one with the new interior. You probably had the best view in the house :)

    Great video! I would like to speak more about the PHL airport & American. I regularly fly out of PHL (and have so at least 12 times since April 2020) in their commuter plane terminal & domestic terminal. I have never flown from the PHL international terminal so I cannot speak on behalf of that. However my last 12 times there, all during pandemic, have been absolutely mobbed with people in the two mentioned terminals. The commuter terminal is special to AA and PHL. It’s a very important connecting airport. My last time in PHL, June of this year, the domestic terminal for AA was mobbed (flight to Denver). My biggest gripe with PHL is the STILL lack of open food establishments and cleanliness. It’s definitely one of the dirtiest airports.

      Thanks! Now with the amount of time I had in Philly I was able to walk around (off camera) within the airport just to familiarize myself and the wear and tear on this airport is showing along with the drop in flights. Still the airport has its pros like, many windows and easy to read signs. Lastly I was bummed about the food options as I seemed like two restaurants were open throughout the whole entire airport.

      @@aviationmaliq132 The wear and tear is very noticeable, as you mentioned. It’s a shame that they do not keep it up. The bathrooms - let me just say I’ve seen way better in many barrios in South America! I should also mention that the economy parking lot is still closed - still. Keep up the good work. Your videos are very informative. If you haven’t already or are able to, you should do some flight/airport reports in South America.

    The flat land on your left, is all the way to NJ Coast and Atlantic city. It's very well seen from Delaware Memorial Bridge, but can you see Atlantic City from Philly?

  • @gregodessite

    PHL is US Air hub afaik 1:49. My relatives had a flight from NYC to Rome, and they did it through PHL. They live on Long Island (Huntington, NY) they left from LGA went through PHL and then to Rome. As of me - it was ridiculous, but it gives great savings I guess.

  • @JCT442
    @JCT442 Před 2 lety +2

    PHL isn't fading; you departed from Terminal A (overseas terminal at PHL) where the restaurants you saw were closed. It makes sense they were closed as there were few (if any) noteworthy flights from Europe with sizeable passenger numbers so why keep them open if nobody is traveling overseas to any real extent? Profits and costs rule the day; pandemic or not.

    • @aviationmaliq132
