Dude! You beat me to it! I've been wanting to do something like this on the George watches (one reason is because my dog's name is George) but haven't. But let me tell you, I'm stinking impressed with your video and audio quality. The whole review was great, for that matter. I'm still working on all the technical stuff (on a small budget) as I go along, but you seem to have entered the fray like a professional from the start. Great job, bro.
They are cool for the price! And keep at it. It takes time. The only reason I've started like that is because czcams.com/users/stevealicioustech is my main channel. So had all the stuff from that already! But that started without the best quality.
I've had several George watches and have a solar model now. You're quite right that the various models really vary quality wise. The solar model is decent quality and the face is very readable with large numbers.
yes. they are worth it. I like the "george" line at walmart. I have jeans, wallets and belts from them. I also have two watches. one with a brown strap, one with a black. They are great and hold up well!
I agree, some George watches are best used to level crooked tables, and others are really well made and look nice. I have a few that after a few battery changes are still ticking away giving me accurate time. I even bought a $9.98 George watch for my dog and he wears it on his collar....he's a genuine watch dog now !
george is my go to...i am active in the surf and sand and water, and these are hit and miss. the newest watch i bought didn't survive one day at the beach...i suppose the seal was not up to par...whereas the last one i had survived many salt water excursions. the one you have in the video has a minor display flaw imo. i believe the month/day should be larger than the day of the week.but just a personal preference. so anyway, i took apart the current 'dead' watch, and it somewhat revitalized. before it was blank. now i've got some display, but it's a garbled mess. i think the battery is good, just maybe the circuitry got borked or something. i'm planning on disassembly again just to see what happens. just to age myself, i had a jordache watch back in the mid to late 80s, and it was actually called a J-Shock. lmao. a LOT of people mistakenly assumed it was the infamous casio G-Shock.
One thing to watch out for are the stand alone analog watches. I’m pretty sure they have faux movements other than main one. That’s where I draw the line. Plus having no company name on the face is a dead giveaway of a cheap watch.
It all boils down on how you treat it and what you expose the product to if you care for it it’ll probably last 1-2 years no problem and maybe even way longer
They are not made or designed by Fossil. They are manufactured by the Accutime Watch Corp. I believe it's printed on the case back of the watch. I have three of them.
Some of them, mine do not say that. It depends on the watch, I believe. Fossil did have an agreement at one point to make some of them under the George brand for Walmart.
I have a Armitron watch analog digital speaking of hourly single mine does not beep every hour on the hour I had the Bell icon on it does nothing I went through to the alarm setting and turn the Bell icon on nothing no beat no sound
@@stevealicioustime Maybe it does not work I kept trying and trying and it still does not beep on the hour I own 7 watches and none of them beep on the hour I have the hourly single on every single watch I have and none of them beep on the hour I have 6 Casio and one Armitron
Hopefully you still have your instructions. Most of the time the bell signifies the alarm and they will have something else in a similar location that represents the hourly chime. Allowing you to have both of them on, or one or the other.
OMIGOD quit shaking it around! Can't stand to 'watch' more than a few seconds without becoming nauseous. I just can't follow this, so if you want subscribers pay attention...if you can quit shaking long enough!

I have 3. I chose carefully. I have a solar, a big face digital and a hybrid. I like all three quite a lot so far.

I own one with arabic numerals and a plain face one kinda looks like a easy reader but for half the price. Def as a disposable watch its decent

I would say they aren’t that good even though it’s a good deal. Pay a little more and get a Casio, they are very high quality and remains cheap.
Depends on what you are willing to spend, but I do enjoy the Casio's quite a bit!
