    I don't think half these parents understand how addictive nicotine is

    • @Raisingwildminds
      @Raisingwildminds Před 6 měsíci +43

      Honestly I think that's half the reason the show is so dramatic, which the creators probably love(d). The kids are not only being pushed past their comfort level in terms of rules, they're also in withdrawal from an addictive substance known to make people super moody when they are quitting 😂 and the withdrawal also lasts just slightly less time than the week they are there, so the timelines for their emotional breakthroughs and turnarounds also coincide with when you start feeling great after quitting smoking lol

      The last episode the family offered the teens nicotine patches and gum! I was Soo impressed and happy with that understanding. I totally respected that! But it was the only one I've seen do that

    When James said “ I’m so upset and I don’t know why “ that got to me . He’s got so many emotions bottled up inside and it’s gotten so bad for him that he lashes out at even the most little and unimportant things. I hope him and others going through things like that receive help and find constructive ways to cope, and express their emotions even when they don’t feel the best .
