I would never endanger my family like that. Cyclones are way too unpredictable, the models are never right. Not worth the risk for a feed of fish.

Thanks for watching and thanks for your concern. But just so we’re on the same page the cyclone was over 500nm mile offshore at the time I was out. At this same time all predicted paths were over 600km in a straight line in the complete opposite direction to my location.
It’s like saying I’m not going outside today because it raining in Japan.
I don’t disagree that cyclones are unpredictable but it’s called calculated risk, and at no point was I concerned about a “cyclone”. The wind picking up to 20kts on the other hand yes that’s a concern to anyone at any time when travelling offshore.
At no point was my family in “danger”.
