Racism exist in one way or another in a lot of places, i was in karnataka for my B. TECH.
And they use to make fun of me, cz I used to speak basically in hindi ( like, when talking to some of my native place people) and was from bihar, basically they thought they were superior then me and I was from some backward shitty state. Teachers used to teach in kannada language a lot of time ( that affected me in studies too ).
From my experience, All I can say is racism occurs everywhere in one form or another.
I have spent my childhood in north east and has always admired north easterns. You have sustainably handled your growth and much gender aligned in your society. Where the rest of India is still fighting stereotyping you are much ahead of that. I wish people understand the diversity of our country and give space to all in peace.
