Cinnamon was abandoned by her owners, and then we received a call on the Hope For Paws line. When Loreta Frankonyte and I arrived at the location, we managed to make friends with Cinnamon quickly using some treats.
As we were about to leave, a woman told us that at some point, SHE was the owner of this dog, but she had given her to someone else (and that someone else abandoned the dog).
It was weird how she was OK with us just taking her and without asking for any information, but Cinnamon was very happy about it because we promised her a much better future.
Please help Cinnamon find a loving forever home by sharing her rescue video.
    Thank you :-)

Hernan, sometimes people are forced to give up their dogs, rather than let them suffer or end up in danger, it can be the best choice. Would you rather a family keep a dog in squall conditions, with no veterinary care just because a poor family love their dog? Because those who truly love their pets know that the best choices aren't always the easiest.

That dog had ZERO interest in her former owner and was eager to get in the car. Comes to show that this dog was smart enough to know that it would get treated better by total strangers than by her previous owner.

tbh, the dog turned round, wagged its tail a lot and pulled to go over to her when she turned up. So whether she was the one to abandon, or perhaps cut her emotional ties when she had to give her up and entrust her to a neighbour, who knows. But that dog was certainly well loved. If she was truthful, then she did the right thing by choosing to give her dog to someone she thought would give them a better and safer life.

My two dogs right now are such a snob lol sure they're happy to see us but there's no jumping or that super enthusiastic wagging of tail which was the "usual'' they would most of the times look at us as if saying "oh you're home". Luckily, I grew up with cats and dogs and have 3 🐈 rn so I'm used to that kind of "acknowledgement" from them 😀 So I've got 5 pets ignoring me 😂

Cinnamon’s previous owner needs to be on a national do not adopt registry. The fact that she gave the dog away and wasn’t concerned at all that the dog had been abandoned shows she has no concern for any animal. She gave away the dog because it knocked down her kids? Really? It looks like the lady lives right next door. How did she not see the abandoned dog? Something is wrong here. It stinks of neglect

The neighbours story is so fake. If the dog noticed them as a previous owner, she would’ve been excited and jumped up at them or something. I feel like maybe they called you to just get rid of her because they didn’t want her. She didn’t look like she had been on the streets for a long time because she immediately trusted you guys.
    This is just my theory:
The owners dumped her outside and called you guys to take her. They didn’t want to actually admit to that, so they blamed it on the moved away owners. They made up the lactating story so you would find it more urgent and get there quicker.

Mimi Chi There's no proof that she ever owned the dog. She never gave a previous name for the dog and the dog never even gave a glance in her direction, which is strange since she apparently used to own this dog. Even stranger is her explanation for getting rid of the dog, why would you buy a big breed dog if you expect it to be playing with kids? Plural KIDS meaning at least 18 months to birth them and be old enough to play in the yard and yet the dog doesn't even look at her? Suspicious AF if you ask me. My guess is she either abandoned the dog herself and is distancing herself or she never owned the dog but wants to try getting her for free and realises that's not going to happen so backtracks.

Rabbit Guts I have no idea if she was telling the truth or not, but you're actually better off getting at least a medium sized dog, large is better, if you plan to have them around kids. Smaller dogs are more likely to nip and they are more fragile. I have 5 dogs that will be around when I have kids, 2 are larger dogs (pit mixes) and 3 are smaller because I already have them. But if I get another dog specifically for my kids, it will be a dog that's no less than 30 pounds. (My hyper, rambunctious, 1 year old, 55 pound Staffy mix drags me around like crazy, but when my 3 year old nephew is holding his leash he walks really gently and never pulls. Most dogs seem to know they need to be gentle with little kids.)

to try and answer your question honestly as i can i googled it and this is what i found...Pit Bull
The following infographic shows that the Pit Bull is still responsible for the most fatal attacks in the U.S. by far, killing 284 people over that 13-year period - 66 percent of total fatalities. That's despite the breed accounting for just 6.5% of the total U.S. dog population.Sep 13, 2018... firstly, miss Hope, i want to make it clear to you that i'm not trying to be argumentative with you, nor do i mean to question your logic regarding pits, i fully respect you defending them, and ive known a few that were nice playful dogs, but thats the vast minority of the ones ive met. about 90% of them were vicious blood thirsty killing machines that with no provocation at all showed aggression to someone just walking by minding their own business. fortunately in most cases the dogs were either in an enclosed fence or chained up. now i'm only guessing that like most people you will say the aggression isnt the dogs fault its the fault of the owner, even then if one attacks a human being that didnt bother it it's still dangerous enough to possibly attack a person unprovoked. as an example i'll refer to one of those nice ones i was telling you about. a friend of mine was just like you defending them all the way. he had a female he got as a puppy with the intention it would grow up with and protect his then 3 year old daughter. they cared for the dog well, fed it, played with it, took to the vets, the whole works, they were very responsible with the dog and it got along well with the kids. then one day a couple years later the little girl now 5 and the dog now 2, the little girl now 5, the little girl went to give her dad a hug and the pit attacked latching onto the side of the girl's face causing alot of stitches and fractured cheek bone. needless to say the dog was outta the house that very night. so that notion of it always being the owners fault isnt exactly true, at some point as the statistics above indicate, you have to get over the preconceived notion thats the pit breed as a whole are a nice breed because any breed that is only 6.5% of the dog population but is responsible for 66% of people killed by dogs kinda speaks loads. and i certainly hope you are more concearned about my friend's daughter than the dog that tried to kill her

Honestly, I could, if I for some reason had to. Like, if I can't take care of him properly (for medical reasons or if I for some reason become homeless etc)
I want the best for my dog and if I can't take care of him properly I want to give him the best life possible, even if it's not with me. (I don't see that happen, but I can't control everything in life)
I actually got my dog (he was almost 3 at that time) from a breeder who couldn't keep him, because the breeders she got him from as a puppy got really weird - he was used for breeding in Sweden, where he lived, and they are only allowed to have 5 litters and when he got to that and the breeder told the original breeder they where all like: "Are you going to kill him now?" A really strange situation.
When I went to pick the dog up I could see how hard it was for the breeder and she also said that if he's not happy at my place that she would take him back and i'd get my money back or I get a puppy from her next litter if I want. She also still wants some updates on him every now and then.
I love my dog and I would fight to keep him, if it gets tough, but I want the best for my pets so even if it breaks my heart, if I can't take care of my pets, I'd give them to a loving home. (I know a bunch of people that have/had pets themselves and they'd probably help me out there)

I totally agree Gary. Pitbulls were initially used as 'nanny dogs'. I have been yelled down about this quite often but history shows their caring, gentle and protective instincts were utilised by many early pioneering families, who would trust the lives of their children with them. Unfortunately due to that same 'territorial', protective nature, and strong jaws, they have now been become the poster 'dog' for fighting rings, etc.....if you torture any sentient being enough, their 'raw' nature for survival will usually come through....human and living non-human alike. I don't have any favourite breed of canine - they are all fairly unique and fantastic in their own ways, but I most certainly don't like to lump certain breeds into such negative categories. Chihuahua's are considered nasty vicious little biters....however, I beg to differ, I've come across these little fur balls that are as sweet in nature as let's say, a fully grown Golden Retriever, I've met Labradors that are highly aggressive....it's all in the nurturing.

Cinnamon was a great name for her. She is a beautiful dog. Who would be so heartless as to leave such a wonderful dog on the streets?

What a sweet dog, glad she’s going to find a good home, that “previous owner” made me nervous that she was going to ask for her back.
