How to make a healthy Matcha Latte… easy and delicious

This video shows how to make easy Japanese matcha lattes that taste just like the matcha frappe from Starbucks. These are healthy recipes that you can make at home with a milk frother or a matcha whisk.
There are so many health benefits of matcha, I also show you how to tell good quality matcha from bad quality matcha by looking at its color. These are healthy recipes since I used honey in place of refined white sugar.
To make a vegan version of the matcha latte, simply substitute cow milk with any nut milk, such a soy milk, oat milk or almond milk.

@@r.polanco1892 It's pretty good. I started making mine in a milk frother by Instant rather than mixing by hand, but the handheld frothers work well, too. I use my handheld to mix protein powder with, though, and it's so convenient having an automatic milk frother make the matcha. You can do it with water then add milk after, or just mix the powder into milk for a fully frothy matcha latte. I always add milk at some point to counter the oxalates in coffee and tea.

@@teenalareina Jade Leaf has different grades, you likely bought the culinary grade which is indeed of lesser quality and meant for cooking. Jade Leaf also offers ceremonial grade which is premium quality. I also prefer getting the Matcha in a tin as it keeps it fresher longer.

I don't think the Jade Leaf matcha powder is naturally sweet, maybe try a different brand of almond milk and see. 🙂

Why does it taste bitter ? Is this how it's suppose to taste?

A lot of culinary matcha is somewhat bitter. It's typically used in baking or things like smoothies where fruit/honey adds sweetness. I recommend trying it with raw honey, it much better for blood sugar than processed sugar. Ceremonial grade matcha is more naturally sweet, some brands more than others, and some seasons more than others.
