Good to see other people coming up with methods for doing these things. I haven't been in the game in about two and a half years, so i can't remember exactly how i did it, but the method i was using was a little different.
Nice octagonal pillar. You can do something similar (with the doors) to create an almost perfectly round one, but it ends up looking pretty big and is a of of work, so I don't use it much.
@@sarah4and10 So gotta ask, do you know if it increments cleanly across the 1m beam? Like, if you made a train of doors and 1m beams, would it have an overlapping snap point?
Makes building the pillars easier and smoother though it takes a bit longer with the extra steps. Though what caught my eye was that chandelier in the background on the left at the beginning of the video.
Okay, just going to be blunt here... SOMEBODY OBVIOUSLY has TOO MUCH TIME on their hands! LOL However, as an Engineer, I have to respect the ingenuity that went into researching and playing with the pieces until this was a feasible working piece. Bravo Sarah! Thanks for sharing! 👏👏👏 💯❤🔥
Actually I didn’t. The columns are Versaugh’s design and this awesome trick was shown to me by Whisper81. I asked and received permission to do a tutorial for this.
@@sarah4and10 Hehe, I seen Versaugh do it before but not like this! and while this is a lot of work to do, it's the perfect way to get it right! still really insane how someone figured this out, no matter who did lol

I knew how useful wood doors are for getting roughly 1/2 and 1/4 spacing, but never thought to do something like this.

@@sarah4and10 I'm more asking if a door can divide a beam evenly. I've had builds that would benefit from a .5 meter snap point

Only if you use iron beams in the center. Otherwise it is purely decorative.
