I don’t read too much tarot, I do have multiple decks, the original Ryder Waite being one of them. I read a lot in the past and know the meanings of the cards. I always read for myself, never for anyone else. I think it’s a great tool to explore your own mind and connect what you draw to your own life. Never had any bad experiences. I think that only comes through fear and not knowing enough honestly. Great documentary by the way, I really enjoyed it

U don’t need books and others to give u the info lol the spirt themselves take care of that. True readers are just born with it. U don’t even need the cards. But each card is coded with wisdom. A new visitor here, I can say that I found my "tribe" This is really educational. I once became a tarot reader myself; one thing I learned from it is that you must not mess with the cards themselves but of the spirits around it. Remember to cleanse and strengthen your own energy and spirit first before using it to avoid being drained and possibly controlled by negative spirits.
Glad you found us! Am planning a bunch more videos in this genre, so please stay tuned.
Not mess with the cards?

I've been reading tarot for over 30 years. I learned on the Motherpeace (which isn't a classical deck), moved on to Thoth and then Röhrig. I always had an aversion to Rider due to the colour scheme. I recently found "a new version" of the Rider deck which I absolutely love. I don't know if other people have had this experience, but I find that Tarot decks "wear out" over time because they no longer correspond to your new stage of life.
I haven’t heard of the Rohrig (apologies for misspelling, don’t know how to make the dots). Tell me more about it.
Been looking for ages for a good documentary about Tarot... This one is magical.. Thank you ❤❤
Thanks so much!
The Tarot is a synthesized dream. Like our dreams, it opens up the infinity within, called the unconscious....it goes from one ego captured in the present moment, to infinity. The language is symbolic, just like in our dreams (and synchronicity and astrology all symbolic systems.) Genius. Symbolism can see beyond time and space, and connect to the Cosmic Mind of the YOUniverse of which we are all an essential and immortal part.
My favorite origin story is of a group of philosophers from different cultures who wanted to share their wisdom, so they made cards to visually express their ideas because they didn't speak the same language.
That’s awesome. Yeah, I agree it’s all archetypal energies and language. And I LOVE the YOUniverse. Totally stealing this. ;)

Tarot like Astrology should be used as guidelines as opposed to fortune telling and if viewed correctly can be invaluable tools that can help one navigate the extremely tough thing we call LIFE!!!
That’s a great way of putting it.
Why shouldn't it be used for both? And what is wrong with using it for fortune telling? If one doesn't want to use it for fortune telling due to mental or psychological reasons (they can't handle it because it feels too deterministic for them), or because they feel they are not well-equipped enough to understand what the cards tell them, well, that's their choice. But it does work (just like lenormand or sibilla), and the more you put effort into studying the cards, and the more you practice, the more accurate your predictions will be. It's a choice!
Love, love, love this production. Excellent!
Thank you so much!!!

Tarot originated in Northern Italy during the Italian Renaissance around the 15th century. Initially, it was used as a card game called tarocchi, but over time, it evolved into a tool for divination. In the 18th century, Antoine Court de Gébelin, a Freemason, popularized the idea that Tarot had its origins in Egypt. However, there is no recorded evidence to support his theories.
I recommend watching CZcams video titled "Tarot History: Theories of Origin" by Benebell Wen, particularly @ 22:24 mark, both A.E. Waite and Aleister Crowley agree that Tarot did not originate from Egypt. Additionally, Colin Low's CZcams video "A History of the Tarot" offers an excellent presentation on the subject and supports these claims as well. I hope this helps.

Occult tarot and goetia tarot are beautiful decks to have especially the goetia tarot if you like the darker decks.
Yea. I have like 300 decks and am familiar with most but am not familiar with the decks in this video. That's what I am trying to get to--a list of decks used or if they were just props
I have been reading tarot for years now. I connect most strongly with the Rider-Waite deck. I even have a training deck with interpretations of meaning on each card. It’s fun to play with. I like the Celtic cross spread but I use one less card and it works well for me. I don’t tell fortunes. I pray before I do a reading and when finished for the day. I don’t like other people touching my cards without my permission. The information I receive is personal to the person I am reading for. I prefer to have no prior knowledge about the person. When I am finished I ask them if the reading made sense to them, or helped them in any way. I’ve found that doing reading after reading doesn’t change the message of the cards. In fact, they will use major arcane to shout at you if you are annoying. Another thing is that if there is an urgent spiritual message you need, that is what the cards will focus on, not necessarily the person’s question. The outcome is always fluid due to free will.
I thoroughly enjoyed this video and I am subscribing. Thank you for not shying away from things thought to be occult. ❤Love and light, Brenda

The creator most certainly DID NOT DO THEIR HOMEWORK. The cards shown are wrong, the credentials are wrong, and he or she claimed Pamela Coleman Smith, painter of the Rider-Waite-Smith cards, was black. Not true. This doc was just an excuse to trot out a bunch of pretty, mystical-looking pictures found on the internet. Many of us know better and use the cards daily. This vid is an insult to our craft, diligence and profession.
Critical much?
Tarot is a fairly new and poorly documented topic in history the path of which is all but clear. Since symbolism is singularly criptic the meaning of the cards are somewhat disputed, after all.
For the novice researcher who has little or no knowledge of Tarot, this creates a backdrop against which to explore further and with which to compare other sources to (Except for Pamela Cole Smith - such a blunder would, admittedly, be unforgivable in today's age of non-segregation-..
..wait...🤔
😂
Take a load off, man. Er..woman 😁
What homework? This entire video is AI generated, admitted to by the "creator". It is full of misinformation and lacks any credibility.

10:27 I've never seen any of these images being shown. They look like Pamela Coleman-Smith's art style, but they don't correspond to any Tarot cards I'm familiar with. Are they preliminary sketches for the Rider Waite deck, or just a completely separate body of work?

Love tarot cards' i took them up last year' i pull them once every two months on myself as a divination/healing tool' many religious folks speak badly of them' say they are loaded with entities' but thats mainstream fear sadly
I agree. They are just a tool, and the real power lies in the person using them
The last time I read cards was a plain deck of cards, I don't use the tarot cards to much. Mostly a real deck of playing cards and one candle.
One day my friend was having a Tuberware party. And after the party some friends and I were just sitting around the kitchen table and my friend had her husband's playing cards sitting on the table and she had a kitchen candle also on the table. So I just happened to pick up the cards and started shuffling the cards and one of the ladies was saying," ooh read my cards!". ( I had done it before to others). I said, "no" I stopped doing it for a while now. " Oh come on!" I said,"ok". Now, I don't claim to be anything, I was 19 when this took place. I wasn't in to tv. Or radio news and didn't care to much what was going on in the world and I just had my son 3months pryor..
So, I started reading. There is a long dirt road, and a supermarket across this dirt roadI I see a car with a woman in it. I see an overpass ( one of the ladies spoke up and said "she has an overpass near her backyard!)I saw a man standing under a small tree in the middle of the backyard, it was drizzling. The man had a hood on and he was a white man and you would know him from the scar on his left cheek. I hear two dogs barking ,they are Dobies .( again the same lady spoke up and said that she had two Dobie dogs!) AT that time my friend, was saying, it was about the other lady!
So I said, this man will knock on your door and ask you to use your phone, DO NOT LET HIM IN YOUR HOUSE! He is carrying a bad aura! He will disappear! And I'm sorry, I am done! So they all got spooked and the lady said "you are coming home with me!" The 4 of us jumped in the cars and went to her house ( I might add my fried and I lived in town. But the lady lived on the outskirts of the town, across from a "supermarket plaza".
So this lady starts to turn down this long dark road. I saw the supermarket plaza on the right! And the road was just like I had saw it! When we got to the house, there was the tree standing alone in the middle of her yard ,just like I had described! I was even a little surprised! So the ladies husband was home and we told him what I had said and of course he said well he better not knock on this door cause I got something for him and he pointed to a rifle he had on the wall. The house was a double decker with the kitchen on the first floor as you come in and the living room was up the stairs. And a garage was on the sidewalk a breezeway of the kitchen.
So, my friend and I headed home. The next day there was a knock at my door. It was my friend with a news paper and she threw it at me! And said, " YOU STAY AWAY FROM ME!" YOU ARE A WITCH!" and left my apartment. So I picked up the newspaper and looked on the towns front page,. It said, Sereal Killer Caught! Apparently, there was a guy that was lying in wait for women when they come out of the supermarket, and attack them! And bring them down that dirt road. And rape, then kill them! But what happened was one lady fought back and jumped out of her car! So that man continued on down to the ladies house! A nd knocked on their door, and the husband answered the door!! And the guy said he needed to use the phone because his car broke down. So the husband let him in! AND the husband was on his way to get a glass of milk and turned his back on the guy, and the guy disappeared into the breezeway!! And the dogs were going crazy! So they ended up calling the cops. And then the police told them that, that guy had been taking women down that road! So they ended catching the guy!
AND THATS WHY I DON'T READ CARDS!
Great documentary! Beautifully done!
Thank you!!
It's nice to see the topic of Tarot brought in a cinematic way, and thank you for your insights. Nonetheless, it would be better served if the depictions of the cards were emblematic of real Tarot card images, particularly for novices. As an experienced Cartomancer, I would be rather reluctant to share this video with my own students due to its "miscontent." The same would hold true for the picture presented of Pamela Coleman Smith. This does not appear to be the correct picture of her, which further suffices to say that she was not Caucasian, but in fact, she was a black woman. Thus, such details should not be undermined or "whitewashed."
That is a big mistake on our part and I apologize. Unfortunately using this kind of unlicensed art is the only way we can financially make these movies, so that’s the reason for the choices in art made.
Even the name of the French scholar he mentioned was clearly a Yoruba (Nigerian) name "Ajibola"
@@thepostapocalypse Pamela was Not a black woman. Simple google search "The Myth of Pamela Colman Smith's Blackness", apparently she appropriated different cultures and played out racist tropes in her story telling - leading to an assumption by her contemporaries, and then later mythology, of her being black. But she was definitely proven to be caucasian by someone who researched her ancestry. I never knew about this until seeing your video description and then researching for myself. It seems we have yet another racist occultist in Pamela.

Excellent Video. Tarot Cards are not just a tool of Divination. Tarot Cards are a doorway for dangerous spirits too come in and wreak Havoc in your Life. I once knew a French Canadian Tarot Card Reader who told me he was walking very early one rainy morning on the sidewalk. He was completely alone, nobody was around. Suddenly He felt hands shove him violently from behind so hard he slipped and fell flat on his back. Nobody was around and he said he knew who violently shoved him. It was the Spirit of the Knight of Swords.

No such thing as the spirit of the knight of swords..but a belief can create whatever it desires to create. I believe in ghosts and spirits but a card is a card and the individuals depicted do not exist

@thepostapocalypse most definitely! They call to my kids, my son especially, louder, so they definitely have more decks. I would argue that's why he's such a gifted reader. It's really amazing how universal tarot is.
@@J.Sofferagreed, I’ve seen people pick up a deck for the first time and do an amazingly accurate reading. They just stayed open to things I guess.
@thepostapocalypse well, I would say it's like the wands in Harry Potter, lol. The magic chooses you. I have a natural affinity for candle magic, and I found that out by dabbling in different crafts. Man, what's up with the imagery from the video? I really enjoyed the history, but those AI generated card are so disturbing. I guess computers know how to distort the symbolism presented in them. Great video though😂
Thanks! I kinda like the bizarro imagery to be honest - it makes things extra unsettling.
The narration is also unnecessarily long winded. I felt like we were going in circles until new information was added in lol
I suspect the origin of tarot can be traced back to anciet Mesopotamia. I think a lot of Egypt adopted their occultist practices from there and it was later passed along to early occult groups like the Hermetics in Europe. Its unfortunate that Italy and Europe get the credit for creating tarot. From what I have heard, the actual practice, the foundation of tarot was brought over to Europe from Egypt. There was an Italian card game called tarrochini that was popular at the time and someone somewhere thought it would be good to incorporate the fundamentals of this Egyptian occult fortune telling practice into that card game. Now i dont have irrefutable proof that this is how it went down but thats word on the street. Occultists in europe used tarot to advise nobility in the times of kings and queens. I think it was always seen as controversial because as Christianity was being forced upon the masses, the same Kings and Queens who were oppressing their people through organized religion were also secretly having cards read and seeking out advice from these occultists. I find it all very fascinating. Ps. You should have used an actual phot of Pamela Coleman Smith because that was a random white lady, definitely not her.
Yes it is fascinating. There are lots of people who believe tarot came from ancient Egypt (or earlier) but I don’t think anyone has found any proof. Which means very little if it was a hidden/esoteric practice.
This vid was very detailed, and much appreciated.

Thanks so much! I love the variety of tarot decks available today. They’re all so different.
Beautiful Decks in the intro.
Agreed
this has changed with the discovery of the Sola Busca tarot deck, and it shows that the occult significance of the tarot deck was not invented in the 18th century but in the 15th century and it is a very dark deck
Thanks for this info! I need to do more research.
"Occult" just means "hidden"
Yep! And this story of tarot is definitely mysterious and hidden.
Good research work
Thanks!

Not one time was the book of Enoch mentioned....which is where tarot is revealed, the original angel of tarot is revealed in the book Enoch....Europe twisted tarot into something wicked....however faith in the most high God is greater and better than tarot
tell me more
@@SK-sy7zp I've said enough....Europe has whitened everything....including the Holy books...just know that, every tribe in any of the "Holy" books including Enoch are about POC...not one tribal name is translated to mean anything other than "Black" in any of the 'Holy" books....not one...
This is fascinating - tell me more and give me some links?
This is fascinating! Can you tell me more and point me to some links?
Original angel of tarot? the tarot consist of 72 angels
Tarot is magical. No doubt about it. Once you get interested, you fall in love with it.
That’s certainly what happened with me.
Great Documentary!!!💛
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed it
I am a Witch and have been reading Tarot for over 30 years. I have been using the same deck for all that time. I ask the Goddess to guide me when I read. I approach my readings with no mystic fanfare. I don't want to know anything about the client to begin with. If I need help with what the cards are telling me I may ask wether they are in a relationship or have a job. I don't want details, just yes or no. I disagree with the interpretation of wands and swords. I reverse them because it makes more sense to me. Every reader is different and there is no single "right way" to read. There are many decks and many readers; we are the instruments that the Universe speaks through. I can honestly say that I don't know how it works, I just know it does. It surprises me every day. I feel blessed to be able to do what I do.
Can I ask what design your deck is?
@@thepostapocalypse It's the Robin Wood deck. It's still in print.
A reader I was now retired .
My i ask what's your Goddess name and where she's from? Kinda curious

I don’t think Jesus taught karma. That is primarily a Hindu/Buddhist eastern belief.

Interesting topic; wanted to learn, but the 'intricate fabric' of AI jargon makes me gag... 🤢
That’s fair - am working on improving it and doing more script editing moving forward. It’s already come a long way but I know there’s room for improvement. Thank you for watching.
Very interesting, but that isn’t the RWS you are showing, whilst talking about it.
These are AI images inspired by the original decks. Thanks for watching!
Aleister Crowley said his last name rhymes with "holy."
Yep, but he tended to purposefully mispronounce or re-spell other words. Turnabout is fair play ;)
Thank you for sharing! I have been guided to share information on Tarot/Numerology/Astrology as well. Let's continue to grow and expand our awareness together! ✌🏾❤🕯
Thanks for watching!
I do tarot for myself. This is a very interesting video I didnt know much about its history.
Thanks so much!
Amazing work
Thank you so so much!
I have a sante Muerte tarot deck with the Sante Muerte statue. Shes sitting on a throne holding up the libra scales (im libra) with her right hand, and syth with the other hand, left foot on the world with skulls on her throne.
I also have 3 different pendulums. A black obsidian one, purple amethyst and golden tiger eye gem stones. I also have the circular board to put under it. YES / NO / MAYBE / I DON'T KNOW
The pendulum is a really cool concept. It forces a connection between your subconscious to your conscious. 🤘😜🔥
Is the Santa Myrtle deck a traditional tarot deck, or does it have different cards? I’d love to learn more about
HERMETIC TAROT FAN!! ❤️ THE HERMETIC TAROT AND MOSTLY ALL TAROT- GATEWAY TO THE ARCANE😊
LOVE that deck. Thanks for watching!
The whole video looks made by ai , and very repetitive
It is in fact made by AI, with a LOT of human work involved. Working to make each video less redundant - thank you for the feedback.
Your comment kinda seems like you’re AI.

You should never mess with tarot cards; "If you are not a practitioner of 'Witchcraft' or a member the Occult" Blessed Be.
Thanks for your input! It’s a little hard to define “member of the occult,” so you could argue that anyone who does tarot is taking a step into the occult (which just means hidden). So in my opinion there’s nothing wrong with practicing tarot and I do it myself. Appreciate you checking out the video.
'Occult' means hidden, but the "Bad Witches" are coming out of the woodworks
I find the historical forms of deviation fascinating. Alchemy. How odd, yet interesting.
Alchemy is one of my favorite topics and might very much become its own video.
I read the Crowley Book of Thoth, but use the Raider-Waite. The paintings for the Crowley Deck are too angular, not sensuous, cold, usually distant and just unattractive. The Raider-Waite deck is sensuous, with color schemes and a feeling of intimacy. But the Crowley book is incredibly lush with profound imagery through the words.
I like the Crowley deck because the minor arcana has a “cheat sheet” at the bottom telling you the core of each card’s meaning. Then again…I’m lazy lol
It is so nice to have the origin of the tarot available for people to see, but I have to say, there are so many beautiful decks out there, some old and profound, and with beautiful art and meaning, and there are so many great pictures of them out there- so why are we using AI images of 'tarot cards'? You could be displaying great decks people could actually put their hands on, or seeing what the cards actually look like, not vague representations.
It’s a choice I made in starting the page - to use AI to create something unique that could t otherwise exist. Just a stylistic choice. Plus a lot of the cards are copyrighted, so using AI images ensures I don’t step on any copyrighted toes. Thanks for watching!
I have never seen these cards before, my Rider Waite deck is different
These are AI images inspired by the real decks. Thanks for watching.
Tarot was manufactured in 1909 by A E Waite who was a member of the hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. He also coined the term Western Esotericism. Not quite that dramatic.
There were many decks prior to 1909, though I totally agree that Waite popularized the Tarot and created a universally recognized template for the cards and their interpretation. Thanks for the input!
The decks in this video, I need😩
Unfortunately most of them are AI versions of other decks so we can avoid copyright issues. But I recommend the Thoth Tarot as that is one of my all time favorite decks.
