Freshies bout with the Bellingham Roller Betties in Lynden Washington. I missed the very start of the intros....my bad.
You may notice that the score on the screen doesn't always match up with the scoreboard. This is because there was a scoring error throughout the bout. I decided to show the most accurate information I could and use this as an opportunity to mention that all the officials are volunteers who only get so many chances to practice. Someday when roller derby is huge, the massive ESPN contracts will pay for full time officials. In the meantime we're super lucky to have so many passionate and dedicated people all around the world reffing this great sport.
