i know it seems frustrating but in season 3 its confirmed that the costumes magically conceal their identities like if they know that person they look completely different

Hawk Moth doesn't use moths, he uses butterflies. Those are butterflies, it's possible to see that. In the French dub (the original one), his villain name is "Papillon", which is French for "butterfly". However, to make his name more of a villain, the English dub called him "Hawk Moth", what is clever, since the translation for "moth" in French is "papillon de nuit" (butterfly of the night).
Jaywalking basically means a person crossing the street when they aren't authorized to, ie when the crosswalk says don't go. What's messed up is it was entirely created by automotive companies back when cars were still relatively new as a way of shifting blame for car accidents onto civilians. "Jay" is old-timey slang for an uneducated person.

I wish you would've have watched this season normally because while this season is the most repetitive, it does help develop a sense of familiarity with the world and the characters so that when they start playing around with that formula in season 2 and beyond, it will be fun to see the deviations.

honestly you should watch volpina and dark cupid from season 1 and then you can move on to season 2
Timebreaker episode is also kinda important for S3
They don't recognize them because of something called quantum masking that comes with the miraculouses, it makes it harder for anybody, even your loved ones, to see the resemblance
Omg thank you for watching more Miraculous! If you are going to watch season 2, you need to watch Volpina. It is the finale of season 1 and leads up to the second season. I would also recommend watching Evilustrater, Dark Cupid, and Timebreaker (its important for future seasons). Evilustrater and Dark Cupid are cute love square episodes, so I'd recommend watching those for those moments (the ship moments are top tier in S1). If you do watch season 2, I'd recommend watching it in order. Watching out of order will ruin the experience ❤️😄
Also, I'd love to explain one thing. The reason why people can't tell who Ladybug and Cat Noir are, is because of some magic quantum masking. People are not able to recognize their similar features due to that. So that's why people don't know.
If you wanted to do a binge of season 1 - just a helpful tip would be to look up what order to watch them in!
The episodes were released out of order for some reason in season 1 so it would help it not get too confusing
I think the only season that came out in order was season 3
Oh girl, you have no idea. I've been obsessed with this show for YEARS, u should definitely keep watching. As for season 1, the only episodes that are important to the whole plot are Timebreaker, Volpina, Simon says, Evilustraror and Dark Cupid, the rest are still fun but overall very formulaic. I would love to know if you like the show as a whole even if you don't make the whole thing into videos, tho i would definitely watch if you end up actually doing it 😊
If you think hawkmoth is a bad name, in the french version he calls himself "le papillon" or "The butterfly"...
In s2 you should try and at least watch everything in order. And Volpina, the final episode of s1, is important to the overall plot, as well as Timebreaker (Important character addition in Volpina and major foreshadowing in Timebreaker, that episode is going to make s3 and beyond make a LOT more sense with a certain plot aspect) Important episodes in s2 includee Sapotis, Anansi, Queen's Battle Part 1 and 2 and Heroes Day Part 1 and 2
NEVER STOP WATCHING
Yay, I've been waiting for this! This is exciting cause a lot of the things you say you want to see in the future will DEFINITELY come up later. A bit of advice, I went back and checked season 1 for plot relevance, and found that there were more important episodes to watch than I remembered. If you're gonna continue with season 2 and beyond, I'd recommend making sure to watch the following:
Mr. Pigeon
Timebreaker
Evilistrator
Dark Cupid
Gamer
Simon Says
Volpina
Honestly, the only episodes in season 1 that really truly contribute nothing are Copy Cat and Horrificator so I'd honestly recommend watching as many as you want, but here's a short list. If you skip these you'll definitely be confused later (and miss some iconic romantic scenes, in some cases)

Chloe does have a few good moments later on in season two. I really enjoyed her in Zombiezou, Queen Battle Part1/2, Malediktator, Malediktator and Heroes Day Part 1/2

20:24 Ladybugs power has no involvement with the the spots she sees around her, the lucky charm gives Ladybug a hint to the solution she needs to solve a problem, but it is left to her to figure out how she will use it, the ladybug vision is her piecing together a plan all on her own.
Adrien has spent much of his life in isolation, and because of this, he doesn't really understand, or has ever experienced, more complex feelings. He fell in love with Ladybug, but that day he gave Marinette the umbrella, Adrien couldn't understand that he also fell in love with Marinette and instead associated his feelings to friendship, because to him, he couldn't have possibly fallen in love with two people.
As a big fan of Miraculous, I encourage you to continue watching.
Volpina is one of my fav episodes
From season 1, I think Simon Says and Volpina are really good ones. It's as close as you get to moving the plot along in season 1, but even without that are just a good watch
wait can you please watch Timebreaker, Princess Fragrance, and Volpina even if you don't make them into videos I feel like if you're gonna continue the show they give a bit more context of whats gonna happen later
definitely watch Chat Blanc once you get to season 3! It's so good and most peoples favourite episode in the fandom
14:27 The guy who storyboarded this scene came to my school to make a conference. Let me tell you the scene had like every trope of a shojo anime in it even down to having Marinette blushing and all. Some details were lost/toned down in the final 3D render which is a shame to me
A bit of a misunderstanding the "quantum masking" effect is what protects the heroes identities, it doesn't make them look different, it just confuses human minds and prevents them from connecting the obvious. Their identities can be figured out in other ways, like personality, habits, etc. but people don't normally try to associate Ladybug and Cat Noir to Marinette and Ladybug, cause Marinette has more confidence when she is ladybug and Adrien is more clownish when he is cat noir, no one is willing to believe its them.
Evilustrator is my fav. You got a cool akuma and Marichat.

You should watch the Miraculous World special that just came out. It’s a 50-minute Multiverse movie where Hawk Moth is the hero and Ladybug and Cat Noir are the villains.

If you wanna keep on watching and you don't care about season one just watch it's finale (Volpina). But honestly, S1 is the best because it's just silly goofy adventures, the characters are fun and cute, animation is good.

Personally my favorite from Season 1 is Horrificator. It’s just cute and wholesome. My least favorite is Princess Fragrance, I don’t like that villain and her powers plus the side plot is weird

I would recommend watching a few more episodes from season five. I would say dark Cupid, and Volpina( I think that is what it is called).I also would do Time Tagger, but idk what season that one is in exactly. After that, I would go ahead and watch in order again. It might get repetitive, but there is some very important episodes especially in season 3, 4, and 5 if you ever get there. PLEASE WATCH MORE!!!! 😊

Season 1 is repetitive, but it has its moments, Season 2 is interesting but sometimes its just as repetitive as season 1, Season 3, 4 and 5 are nice, very nice, love them! Timebreaker, Reflekta and Dark Cupid are my personal favourites! Volpina, the season finale, isn't really a favourite episode but it's really interesting if you're looking forward to know more about the backstory behind the miraculous.

Season 2 is my favorite season. Season 3 is alright. Season 1 is good. Season 4 is horrible. And season 5 is decent.

TBH in season 1 the most important episode are both Origins episode, Volpina(my fav episode of s1, this episode is very important for the future seasons) and Simon Says. The others you can watch it for fun bc it is iconic.

Don't worry Rebecca, Chloé will have her redemption arc in the second season but it will end (and here comes a spoiler) being the same or worse than in season 1, since her arc will conclude in Chloé being too bad and unfriendly to be good and she will continue to be the same bad person she is until now, personally I prefer her that way because it gives material to Hawk Moth to create villains
Same & I like that it shows that there can be more than just good guys in the show that there can be more than 1 bad guy
Chloe was absolutely horrible in season 5 revolution
you can skip season 2. it’s a snooze fest and a complete filler
Season 3 wouldn't make sense if she skips season 2
