Mitta the only undead who is red (the others are all black) helped her to escape, told Applebloom to run for her life and probably tried to hold the residents off. Ruby also helped Applebloom to escape. (the footprints that showed her a path to follow when she was running away) The undead wanted to "protect" Applebloom from getting her Cutie Mark and keep her for ever.
So basically, it's the residents of Sunny town being afraid of something they didn't understand and the only way to get rid of something they didn't understand is by committing murder?

I remember this little master piece back then and how I used to play it daily, I'm so happy that people are getting to look through old gems like these, how it's implied it's as exciting
If I could have just one more song added, it'd be a Rainbow Factory inspired track, and I think that would round out the "2014 Pony Experience" vibe perfectly.
Basically the Blanks story follows more of a Salem Witch trial route, where the pony town residents believed cutie marks were evil and cursed markings that'd appear on a pony. So they'd have to burn the pony alive or get rid of them so they wouldn't be affected by the "Evil" like the Salem witch trials. If any woman was acting off, and showed strange behavior, they would've been prosecuted as a witch, and burned at the stake, or drowned, etc.

Obviously, that was dang neato! But what stood out to me is how... You know when you feel like you recognise an artist? Ever have that happen where the artist is yourself? I swear this is 98% my art style. Only, I avoid doing anything tough. I avoid backgrounds, I avoid multiple characters, and my two animation attempts were so exhausting that they were never completed. Seeing this, seeing what it would look like if I put in the effort, it's very cool! I don't see myself taking on any big projects like this soon, but I hope I can push myself to get closer to being able to do that. I've got a long way to go before I can make a song this good. But I imagine I could do the programming no sweat. It's the art I wish I was improving at faster though! Sadly I did not get my cutie-mark in art. It's a real uphill battle. This glimpse at what's over that hill is certainly inspiring though.

Story of the Blanks has a fanfiction and game for it under the same name, yes! It is considered a creepypasta/ponypasta. For insight onto the story without spoiling it too much: The black and red ponies are/were (undead) residents of the town in the Everfree Forest, and they do have more ponylike forms in the early phases, but they have never seen a cutie mark before, and are puzzled when asked about why they lack them. The grey filly with the orangy-yellow mane that shows up in the middle of the song and allies with Apple Bloom is named Ruby, who is dead because of said residents due to her receiving the "curse mark" (a cutie mark). It's sort of the "A nice looking civilization, but hides a very dark secret" type of story with it's own spin of course. If you have a flash emulator or are able to read it, I would suggest looking into it if you're interested as it isn't as gory as other Ponypastas. But it's not a very popular ponypasta, sadly, so that's probably why you've never heard of it (or you've had very sanitized history with the mlp fandom)"

I remember MLP FiM: Story of the Blanks it is a creepy & simple MLP fan game in the Brony community yet it was the first ever MLP fan game I ever played it was quite a interesting & enjoyable experience though it did scare me a little very freaky for sure 😅 🙂 😊 now we have a Friday Night Funkin mod of it that is incredibly amazing 😮 the mod itself looks & sounds so dam epic I feel so hyped I love it to bits already even if I haven't played it yet 😃 🖤
