Iirc, the color schemes of shinies usually aren't designed by anyone. There is apparently an algorithm used based on the colors of the normal form to determine the shiny's appearance. That's why we see repeats such as the green ones, the slightly different shades, super pinks, clown colors, etc.

A lot of the starters do this. Chameleon is red while charmander and charizard are orange. Wartortle is a much darker blue than squirtleand blastoise

@@temmie2032 My point is why give Meowth a new form when he already has one? I couldn't care less about the lore, they could've created a new pokemon around that lore or given it to the other cat pokemon that already exist that don't have a form like delcatty, glameow or purrloin. It's the same thing with Charizard, the kanto bias is annoying, most of the Pokemon that got new galarian and gmax forms are from kanto, again.

Honestly though, there’s a reason my dad grew up learning the saying “the squeaky wheel gets the grease.” If you’re the only thing complaining, you’re the only thing getting attention. So I guess let’s all just declare metaphorical war on Gen-1ers (or maybe something less drastic) to get the Pokémon Company to notice us instead
