      Jeremy, Go compare the winning time to the winning time of the Men's 1500m in the Olympics THEN the world records. It's unusual (Apart from Markus Rehm in the T44 Long Jump) for people with a disability to beat someone who doesn't.

    • @musik102
      @musik102 Před 7 lety +3

      They didn't beat the able bodied runners!
      Their "record" time was over 20 seconds slower than men in the able bodied race can run.
      That represents over 150m!
      Put another way, in a paced Diamond League race, the handicapped runners wouldn't even be in the finishing straight when the the Olympic class able bodied runners had finished the race.

    • @gabrielcastello7200
      @gabrielcastello7200 Před 6 lety +3

      The winner's time of that year ("able bodied runners" gold medal) was 3:50.00 (USA M. Centrowitz). The time for the FOURTH (4º) paralympic racer was 3:49.84 (F. Baka).

      He wouldnt need to run the closing 400m in 50 seconds, because he ran more even splits. The regular 1500m is a disgrace, if you don't think so you're contributing to the problem. Why is the 1500m the only even where we don't expect the best times like 800, we watch track to see people run their best, not play mind games and run hs times

      Ben L what is slow tactical means

    • @benl9325
      @benl9325 Před 6 lety

      pranesh kumar meaning the race wasn't run at a fast pace. The runners chose to run at a slower pace than they are capable of running to save their energy for a sprint finish. You see slow tactical races a lot in championship style races. Where the goal isn't to run a fast time, but to just win. It's very hard to run in the front and run a fast pace so no one does it. They all run slow and wait for their opportunity to make their move.

    Bruh they two should have been allowed in the Original Olympics to kick(or pressurize) all the runners(Including Matthew Centrowitz Jr) in the Rio Olympic 1500m Final coz it was so slow (Although it was tactical) and also one more thing, if Genzebe Dibaba was to break her own 1500m WR(World Record) again she could have probaby even went sub 3.50 then that could be kinda embarassing LOL
