With the young man winning the Quiz Show Mastermind and using his subject as Flanders & Swan I hope there will be a revival of their excellent comedy and special songs.
Never saw Flanders and Swann in person but I do recommend the show "Flanders & Swann: At the Drop of a Hippopotamus". Two excellent gentlemen, Tim FitzHigham and Duncan Walsh Atkins, performing the works of F&S and doing it supremely well.
For over fifty years I thought it was pronounced gu-noo because of this song. I'm sure I wasn't alone. I'm going to continue to say gu-noo anyway because it sounds better than with a silent g.
I love the introduction (missing here) as to how the song came about!

It brings back happy childhood memories.

Of *course* it's gu-noo, silly! These are very proper English men, and so obviously, they speak the (at the time) Queen's English. Cheers.
So, so great!!
Ah yes, the original "I'm gnot a gnoblin. I'm a gnome."
"I'm gnot a gneland.."
"I'm not a gnoryx.."
This is so British 😂😂😂
I saw a swan this morning. It made me think of this.
The Armstrong and Miller Show.. Brabbins and Fyffe.
Sofunny! Thanksto John Hinchliffe who sent me the Hippopotamus song , which made me look up Flanders & Swann!
Zulu, nqu, tip of tongue on hard palate with nasal vowel: oo not tsk, but tok...
Good Lord, it's Brabbins and Fyffe, from Armstrong and Miller.
These were the originals.
Someone posted this to a Facebook group! I never saw or heard this before!
Funny! I just came here for the link to share this under a post by a friend of mine, about his Gnu, on FB. Cheers.
A shorten version?

Do a Google search for the lyrics - easy to find.
Who has done the subtitles…..rubbish not worthy of a Flanders and Swann
