Brian . I have just watched Pt ! and 2 , of your 12 Pt presentation .And i have learnt so much already . Thanks again for another video of your's on 'Mixing Flesh Tones for Painting Portraits' . i am about to start on a commission for a large double portrait . i am more confident now , Thanks to your excellent teaching
Thank you so much, I have learned a lot by watching your 3 part demo.
Thanks so much Brian. I liked your big 4 of drawing, values colour and edges (I think). Also like your brush stroke efficiency. I have just started painting though been drawing off and on for years. Ive got the bug you might say. Some of the photos I want to paint are short on values so your series helps me get the most out of whats there. Cheers.
Great video!! A lot of great ideas. I’ve been painting for a while and I live watching mothers to gain more knowledge. With that being said, I was curious about you pallette. Is that something you’ve made or did you purchase it?
Why do you use a black and white photo?
He addressed this in an earlier video. He does this to see the values and get them correct.
Whats that stick?
That is his Mal stick to stabilize his hand as he draws
You can use any rod like that and scrunch up a piece of cloth in another cloth and tie it on with a rubber band.
this guy is saying a lot of stuff that isnt crap- which is unusual for a youtube paint demo- pay attention, even if you dont work the same way.
