Technical Details:
Since Lamb footage isn't something we see everyday, I thought I would use newer software tools on the footage I transferred about 10 years ago. I went back to the source transfer, cleaned as much "noise" as possible while enhancing the stage elements, slides, etc. The stage is really dark, so there wasn't as much latitude on these reels as I would have liked. But going too bright blew out things in the spotlight and increased the noise, so some reasonable compromise had to be reached. Thanks to youtube for squashing the rest of the background detail.
I AI interpolated (not upsampled, as I wanted detal, not size) and cleaned a bit with Neat Video NR. I also made the transfer more consistent overall as the stage varies wildly with very dark sections, very smoky sections, etc. I improved the color with nicer truer blacks, however, this is a stage with stage lights and some things are just the color of those lights and do not need correction.
I did clean up/spot removal...though I found during IT the strobe-lit Raels were removed as the software thought they were noise (occurring for just one frame each strobe) so I had to use the original noisier transfer for that section.
I did more image stabilization that I did last time, the biggest disadvantage being the edges of the image can get cut off or bounce around, or by stabilizing the band the film texture destabilizes. And the stabilization can't improve frames that were captured in motion (blurred) so I tried to keep it reasonable. Since much of this show is in extreme close-up, we want to keep as much of that image as possible.
I kept the same audio sync and production I did 10 years ago, using the audience recording in all sections other than The Musical Box, which was not recorded so I had to sync it from another show. I considered syncing a higher quality audio to the whole film, but the long segments in this film benefit from the exact match from the same night.
I then frame interpolated ffmpeg for smooth motion to 60fps. This is probably the biggest improvement to this show, although combined with the stabilization does create some interesting "watery" effects during the very smoky sections.
I realize this won't be a night and day difference compared to the first HD transfer I did 10 years ago, but I think the improvement available with recent software tools made the process worth taking another look at. - Hudba

Wonderful to see this. Thank you for posting it. I saw The Lamb performed at the Philadelphia Civic Center in December '74, just a week after my 16th birthday. 7 months earlier I had seen them at the Tower Theater on their 2nd leg of the SEBTP tour. Very fortunate to have friends back then with older brothers who were musicians and introduced me to some amazing bands. Genesis have always been my favorite of all, and to this day I am so grateful for having seen them twice with Peter Gabriel.
That part where Peter and Phil are singing on Counting At Time and when they pause in the lyrics and look at each other and smile is just the sweetest thing ever. Always disliked the people that try to say their was beef between them when they were close like brothers.
Two rows from the front Steve Hackett right in front of me sitting down Birmingham hipperdrome may 2 nd 75 day ill never forget I was 17 burned in my memory still got the ticket stub and programme great times best band in the world period say no more
I saw this amazing multi media extravaganza at Maple Leaf Gardens In Jan. 1975 , what an unforgettable evening where art ,theatre and music intersect. My third time seeing Genesis live in Toronto and definitely the most ambitious production,. Sadly Genesis was never the same after Gabriel's departure , settling for middle of the road rubbish and commercial success rather than striving for greater heights. Never quite forgiven Tony Banks and Phil Collins for that. Thanks for posting this bit of musical history.
Genesis Museum and all the guys involved, I can't thank you enough. This is a true gift to all of us.
Such a precious gift. It’s been a lifelong regret that I never got to see them play the Lamb. Thank you!!
Me too. Fortunately the musical box recreate it fantastic. Never the same but it’s magical.
I was there! Best concert I have ever witnessed in my lifetime!
Peter’s energy is absolutely mesmerising, you can see the electricity running through his skinny body and feel it in your own body, too. The Lamb tour must have been a magical thing to witness.
Oh, dear, how I wish there was more footage and in better quality! Thank you for the upload, this is so precious!
I just couldn't stop watching the first time. What a show and what a band! Thanks for finding this and doing post production on it, the band should be thrilled.
Epic epic epic music from another dimension. Since about 30 years my favorite piece of music with Tales from Topographic Oceans-Yes. What a shame that there is no professional footage of the whole Lamb concert.
Excellent! From the days when music was still music. And Gabriel is so charismatic, not to mention often hysterically funny!
FOaW opening is dominated by Hackett. Mind blowing and beautiful!
Thank you so much G music! ❤️❤️
The biggest Mistake in the History of Genesis, not to film the Lamb Show professionally. How could this happen? This could not be forgiven. But anyway.... Thx for uploading this rare fantastic footage👍
Hai perfettamente ragione!
@@walternanni2678 what language is this? Italy? Dont understand it.
They had a photographer named Armando Gallo who took hundreds of pictures but no film!
@@boblatzer I know Armando Gallos Work. I have his 1978 Book. Awesome pics in it. A lot of Lamb pics too. All are First class.thx for writing me.
That one was the first & the biggest, the second was that no reunion in 2007 with Peter Gabriel & Steve Hackett. I would' ve pay big bucks for the nostalgia.

10:28 really rare image. Rael and his bottle filled up high with gasoline🔥Many thanks G Music 😀
I wonder if Gabriel had that idea?
STILL AMAZING IN 3075 !
the Lamb Lies Down on Broadway é o meu disco favorito do Genesis......Maravilhoso!!!!!
Angels channeling incredible creative powers. What a footage!
.The complexity of the light show in dialogue with the richness of the music. Gorgeous.
Thank you so much for posting. Yes, it has limitations but is still a wonderful thing! Just joyous.
Thank you for posting huge Genesis fan love Peter Gabriel.
Thank you for upgrading this rarity. This footage is from the Festhalle in Bern, Switzerland.
Merci pour ce partage, à cette époque j'ai vu beau coups de concerts dans cette halle, Zappa, Jethro Tul etc. Que de bons souvenirs.
The portion for Back in NYC is spectacular!
And here I was thinking I’d never be able to see a live video of this. Well done and very good job!
A Treasure....Pure Gold!!! Thank you for posting!!!👍
Holy S!!!. Thank you!!!
Great work ! Not an easy task to put together. Genesis had everything, all members are song writers, the lineup was so deep.
At last! The Greatest Genesis
Thx so much for restoring and posting!!! Cheers from germany!

Wow, thank you for this excellent film footage, I’ve been collecting for years and never seen the complete songs like this, simply awesome👍✨⚡️
Legend !!! ....thank you very much for this rare video.....unforgettable actor, Peter !!!
This footage is simply magical to watch. Thank you!
Just awesome... Thank you G Music for sharing this incredible piece of Genesis history.
Thanks, G Music, for sharing this rare footage! Nice pairing of film and music. The best of Genesis, imo!
Thanks for sharing such rare footage !
Thanks a lot for this incredible footage, pure gold.....it 'only rock 'n' roll ,but i like it
Thank you so much for posting.
MAGNIFICENT! I was at Wembley 2 weeks later.
An incredible job! Thank you very much. As a friend of mine used to say about ABB’s live at the Fillmore footage is sort of a dream for the blurry image. This one has bee; the same and it has been an accomplished dream in this occasion!
eternal gratitude, thanks for sharing this masterpiece with us
.....I was there..... and it was (and still is) mindblowing. Genesis afterwards: acceptable until 1977 and then.... welcome to the Pop Show.
I was there too !. Thanks Vlad
It wasn’t welcome to the pop show, there was some damn good music written after 77, I admit I didn’t get into the hits they had but I still listened to their whole albums from ATTWT onwards and there were still many gems.
@@lorenic95 agree they had to change in the eighties. My favourite era is 70-80.
Absolutely fantastic 👏 👍
Amazeballs! This is fantastic !
YES!!!! THANK YOU FOR THIS RARE GEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Loved it. Thank you.
Amazing
Ich erinnere mich mit Tränen in den Augen... thx
saw this tour at wembley 1975, superb!!!
Thanks man!!!!!
Wonderful stuff - the best yet!
- like everyone else, I'm gutted that the Lamb show was never professionally filmed... to be honest, it always seems like a reflection on the state of the band at that point...
- not all fully behind the Lamb project.. especially the visuals, which was very much a Peter thing...
Fantastic footage, first time see Phil use metronome on drums in stage, therefore his playing is clean
Wow!
WWWWWaaaaooowwww, & THANK U, SO MUCH, G-Music
Epic.....
Bravo ! De mieux en mieux ;-) Christian
I got the album at age 15 and bought the T-shirt at age 62. Somewhere in between I recorded a few of the wonderful songs on my own, with more guitars and less keyboards.
Great job
Le plus grand groupe de musique progressive du WORLD...avec les "Floyd"....Merci pour ça !
Takes me back to May1st 1975 Birmingham Hippodrome, great concert. Either the sound quality of the film or the mixing on the night wasn't good or I think Peter was having an 'off' night as he sometimes did live as his voice doesn't sound that good. Loved seeing the sequence of Back In NYC where he throws the molotov cocktail to the back of the set and it appears to burst into flames, plus the double vision of Rael at the beginning of It. Those were the days. This is a nice tonic after hearing the delay of 'The Last Domino' til September.
It's been so long since I've seen this footage all at once like this, I love the wide shots!! Much easier to watch than the Shrine footage 🙄 especially with the stabilization.
Thanks for providing this opportunity!
thanks !!
What a difference Peter looked and acted in the space of a year? He looked like he could be in a punk band on this tour.
Bravo!
Exceptionnal !
It always bottles me the little footage there is around of this great Era and band. I feel like it is that Titanic Gem jewel...lost at sea forever. So many shows of theirs that would be pure Historic Gold, to watch in its entirity, with a half decent sound. So little of the LAMB era...what a pitty. Just the Slippermen alone is a diamond of art.
Thanks for your work on polishing these gems.
Keep in mind, they were all 24 years old, Collins only 23.
Remarkable.
Люблю творчество Генесис.
Great band
If you consider the sum of images, music and words.. my opinion, not only a great band but maybe the best band

HOLY FUCK
🤟
It would have been an awesome 100 minutes if this was recorded professionally which for the life of me i still can't understand why it wasn't especially as the Selling England tour was recorded for cinema release which the band blocked for some strange reason.... Surely one of the 100 odd shows the band toured the Lamb ought to have been filmed!!
How did tony play the musical box solo? With the rmi?
From 20:00 on, if you turn the sound off, you'd think you were watching Iggy Pop.
Any word on Fresno Media ?
what does that mean?
@@GenesisMuseum Fresno media restoration channell was deleted.. pretty much the leader in 8mm restoration
A great mistake from Genesis...not recording(sound+video)their live show of "The Lamb Lies down on Broadway",one of their greatest conceptual album's works !...
they didn't have the money to do this in 1975
Why tf didnt they actually film this shit
Great. Spoilt only by the ads.
The town's name is Bern, not Berne.
both can be used, but unfortunate that for such a historic video the only comment is regarding the letter E
@@GenesisMuseum Turns out, you are right. I did not know that. It bugged me, though.
Bern or Berne is same
Another look through the keyhole. Disappointing.
what do you expect? Its old tape you never know. Be grateful with what you get because at least we get something.
If you can look at this footage and seriously label it "disappointing" I think it's pretty safe to say you are not a fan of this group! I had chills going up and down my spine, it was like being caressed by the Lamia itself!
FANTASTICO!! ..Back in N.Y. city, el RIFF d Counting d out time, Carpet Crawlers, Lylywith....me hacen mas daño, son mas fuertes y peligrosos...que la musica Infantil, Inofensiva y fea d Metallica, Acdc, Judas Priest o los horribles REM o Queen...
Loved it. Thank you.
