The best shit to do in early lab Minecraft was to get command blocks and give certain people jump boost 150. They would be completely normal till they went up to a block then they jump like a half mile into the sky. Hearing the reaction of the other kids freaking out in the library was so funny

Gino Gatash he makes one throw away joke about the line. He plays the clip of spiderman saying it and says “that... didn’t age well.” He’s mostly a comedian though, it was meant as more of a joke.

ocarina of time and majora's mask 3D are a few of the best remakes from that era, because aside from touched up graphics and better performance, those remakes are pretty faithful to the originals.
Honestly probably the best way to play those games nowadays.
same with wind waker HD, they basically made the graphics look better while also fixing some problems with the game, but overall its the same experience
Link looks really fucking weird though. I didn't like the way the faces were drawn for the concept art, so the remake using that style is annoying to me-- plus, it doesn't mesh as well with the other characters' faces (like the construction workers and the two mustache sweater twins)
there's some legit criticism there, some of the new model do look alittle fucked up in the remake, but i'd argue some look worse in the originals especially majora's mask.
like the dancers, hylian guards and great fairies look worse on the N64.

I think the problem with remastering/reimaging stuff is that they can't find a proper balance between "beatiful realistic graphics" and the original cartoonist style of the OG game. Or they abandon the style for a more Pixar one.
The Ratchet and Clank remake comes to mind. The levels that were based on the old stuff look better because they were forced to keep the old style, just update it. While the new levels use the Pixar style and look out of place.
idunno. I'm sure there is a proper reason why everything looks so odd. Buy Lyle is right, going for pure realism looks like shit.

Never before have I seen the boys play a game I've never heard of before and been so immediately happy and felt so much joy. This shit is charming as hell.
One game from the early 3D era that got a really nice looking remake is NiGHTS into Dreams. It's really wonky and has weird physics, but the visual overhaul makes everything look so nice and smooth.
Fucking hell this looks so good. Such great animation on the character too.
I love the animation and that Uka uka is following you too, that be really cool if they had something like that in a crash n sane trilogy sequel.

i think the 3ds remakes of zelda ocarina of time, majora's mask, and star fox 64 were really decent, oot and mm were weird in some aspects, but star fox 64 was spot-on imo

I don't understand the logic behind people wanting the Spyro games to keep the designs of characters that were designed with only 40-70 polygons in mind but still making it look good with modern standards in mind.
i guess the designs themselves aren't good or they're not fit for the character, i wouldn't know cause i never played Spyro.
Personally I think the new designs are solid. Hunter took some getting used to but after that point you appreciate it. Especially when you remember how fugly he looked originally. His head could be compared to a clam back in the day.

When they were talking about good HD remakes, I'm surprised they didn't mention Resident Evil's HD remake. That game takes a goofy campy horror game and turns it into something that's actually scary. It might totally shit all over the original aesthetic, but I'd say that's why it's so good.
