Turn it up LOUD! Most under-rated OZ band ever. They were great. Love Divinyls, The Easybeats, and of course Midnight Oil, but Spy Vs Spy has been the second best band that Australia has ever produced. (Number One goes to Bon Scott era AC/DC.)
Their songs always had great tempo, melody and driving rhythm. I remember i bought this single on one of those mini cd's, the one you had to put in a plastic ring to be able to play it in a cd player! 😂. Who remembers those?
Simply a lack of airplay and no support from MMM the radio station that says they support Australian music though I know that without JJJ radio then you wouldn't hear most new music. This 3 piece band known as Spy v Spy in my opinion are one of the best bands to ever walk this Planet. I saw them a hundred times LIVE, I love them with an intense passion.

Mas a impressão que eu tenho é que os australianos estão conhecendo ou dando mais valor ao v.Spy v.Spy recentemente. Vi alguns comentários de australianos dizendo que o Spy foi uma banda muito subestimada na Austrália. Aqui no Brasil eles marcaram toda uma geração de jovens nos anos 1980 e 1990.
You're not wrong. There's a lot of love from Brazil towards these Aussie battlers. The problem was we also had Midnight Oil who stole the limelight from these guys, although the boys from Midnight Oil use to finish their show and go and watch Spy V Spy. Peter Garrett was a huge fan.

Every one of their LPs were phenomenal. I still rate "Trash the Planet" & "Fossil" just as good as the earlier LPs. "Hardtimes" - just amazing.

This did not get the air play it deserved... can only think Spy V Spy were way to honest for advertising.............Absolute Aussie legends.
They had the same ethics as Midnight Oil.
