I've always heard they nixed the idea of the time travel fridge since they didn't want kids playing in abandoned fridges and locking themselves in.
How'd you hear that?
@@frofoodie7763 I've seen the reference made a couple of times online myself.
This is peak CZcams. List Show doing cinema facts? It's like you flossed my brain for ideas. Love it, y'all. You're the best, Erin!
P.S. I watch the first two Die Hard movies every Christmas 🎄🚓🏢
Young Frankenstein. Lost count how many times I've rewatched it. You can watch YF a dozen times and pick up little things you've missed in previous viewings. It adds to how talented Mel Brooks and the entire cast were.
Labyrinth and The Princess Bride are my all time favorite movies!
Always have to say my favorite film is "Empire of the Sun"
The Princess Bride is my favorite movie ever.
Back to the Future is a perfect movie hands down. But Ferris Bueller's Day Off has to be my favorite. The perfect movie at a perfect age for me.
here's your titanic fact: while people argue that the door could have supported both of them, it actually had to be enlarged and have bouyancy added just to allow it to support one person.
Casablanca is my favorite film.
But my mind is still turning somersaults trying to picture Frank Sinatra in Die Hard 🤣
Big Trouble In Little China has been one of my favourites since I was a kid.
During the filming of the original 1968 'Planet of the Apes' the first day of shooting on the Ape City set when it was time for the first meal break it was announced and the extras in full make-up and costume headed for the caterer set up. Curiously chimpanzees grouped together, gorillas were together and orangutans stayed together. They were not told to do so, they just did 😄.
The Princess Bride is one I always enjoy. Asssss youuuuu wishshshhsh!!!!
Ok so I don’t think of Die Hard as a Christmas movie but I watch it every year in December, along with Lethal Weapon and Gremlins😂.
My favorite movie is 1980 ‘s The Changeling, with George C Scott and Melvyn Douglas. Give me a good ghost story any day.
I argue that not only is Die Hard a Christmas movie but so is Lethal Weapon. In a discussion with my wife I asked her to explain to me why The Christmas Story is a Christmas movie. Every point she made I replied with, same as Die Hard.
I'd argue that Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is also a Christmas movie.
John McClane didn't shoot his eye out.
Die Hard was re-released to theaters the following Christmas season
Would love you to do Goodfellas -- my favorite film. And there is a lot of trivia about the story that I already know. :)
Favorite movie? Tootsie with Dustin Hoffman.
My mother had a horror of cross dressers (something about a "funny uncle" back in the 1920s when she was growing up) and I couldn't get her to watch Tootsie. I tried, she didn't get the reason it could be important...
Later when Mrs Doubtfire (another favorite of mine in the genre with, Some Like It Hot) she wouldn't watch that either.
Hoffman and Williams worked together in Hook (yet another movie I loved - Hoffman's costuming, the wigs and all) and I have always wondered if Hoffman convinced Williams to do something like Doubtfire just for the experience...
I have a 3 way tie for my favorite movie. 2001: A Space Odyssey, Bladerunner, and High Fidelity. Who doesn't love Top 5 Records?
Loved seeing Erin on a recent History Channel CZcams video.
I didn't realize Erin believed in ancient aliens.
Late to the game here but one of my favorites has always been Shawshank Redemption.
An Erin who loves movie trivia? There's two of us?!
I have always had great difficulty choosing a favorite all time movie. My favorite for each decade would be 1920s: Metropolis, 1930s: King Kong, 1940s: Arsenic and Old Lace, 1950s: Some Like It Hot, 1960s: The Great Escape, 1970s: Young Frankenstein, 1980s: Who Framed Roger Rabbit, 1990s: Jurassic Park, 2000s: Lord of the Rings, 2010s: The Grand Budapest Hotel, and 2020's (so far at least) Everything Everywhere All at Once
Always cool.
Forget the cow bell...
We need more theremin.
thankful that at least one person is keeping the spirit of audrey hepburn's short bangs alive in the year of our lord 2022!!! inspired and going to get a matching haircut immediately
My Dinner With Andre. A fantastic film.
Well now I need to know the Titanic fact too!
Ladyhawke , Casablanca , Star Wars, Star Trek Wrath of Khan, Twister.
Favorite Movie of All Time?
Baz Lehrman's Strictly Ballroom.
Over a hundred viewings and I STILL cry at the end.
(It got me through a Very Terrible Summer)
I miss John Green
Harry Potter, Kingsmen, Back to the Future, Bill and Ted, Spirited Away, To Wong Fu......just to name a few of my favorite movies.
Favorite movie would have to be Robocop.
Having shown the movie posters referenced would have helped make this more interesting IMO
Personal #1 movie has got to be: The Boondock Saints!!
If a movie has a Christmas setting, it is a Christmas movie, even if it lacks the cookie cutter plot of movies that come to mind when we think of the genre. That doesn't mean you can only watch those movies during the weeks leading up to Christmas, naturally.
My favourite movie of all time is a lesser known one I'm sure: Bridge to Terabithia. Coraline is a strong contender for second place ^^
All time favorite movie(s): The Adventures of Robin Hood starring Errol Flynn, Young Frankenstein, Monty Python's Search for the Holy Grail, Galaxy Quest
My favourite movie is Schlindlers List but I also love Forrest Gump and Jurassic Park
Richard Gere as John McClain 🤣
I was going to write an angry comment - you gypped us out of one fact! I'm glad I stayed past the end screens. PS YES Die Hard is an Xmas movie!
Favorite movie: "Being There".
The greatest movie of all time... "Raiders of the Lost Ark".
the look of pure betrayal
If Die Hard is a Christmas movie then Gremlins is a Halloween Movie.
Favorite movie of all time is completely impossible because I have favorites in different genres but they're pretty common favorites Fight Club Dogma Lion King Princess Bride and Sean of the Dead
My favorite movies are The Labyrinth, Dark crystal, The Limey and I know its cheesy but Tangled. Also Cannon ball run 2, Young Frankenstein and Blazing Saddles.
I Know Where I'm Going was shot in black and white as the producers couldn't get hold of any colour film.
Die Hard is a Christmas movie.
I got a chance to drive a DeLorean back in 1986. A fridge on the back of a truck probably would have handled better. The DeLorean looked good but drove horribly.
Talking of Frank nearly being in Die Hard, I wonder which other actors where considered or turned down big roles
Gates McFadden, as Cheryl McFadden, was the choreographer in Labyrinth.
she was also a secretary in one of the Muppets movies
She's in Hunt for the red October as well
She's beautiful
My favorite movie is A Silent Voice
My only argument to Die Hard being a Christmas movie is: If that is the case, then so is Lethal Weapon a Christmas movie.
And Batman Returns and The Long Kiss Goodnight….Hell,Batman Forever is a Halloween movie then lol NNNOOOOO,the holiday had nothing to do with the plots.
Phantom of the Paradise
My Own Private Idaho was actually a remake (ripoff) of Orson Welles' Chimes at Midnight. That film was a mashup of the Falstaff character in all of the Shakespeare Henry plays. And it is faaaaar superior to MOPI.
Bruce Willis is quoted saying die hard is not a Christmas movie is a mf Bruce Willis movie
diehard IS NOT a christmas movie. bruce willis (at some awards show) has said so himself
Ok then,Batman Forever is a Halloween movie then -___-
Actually frank Sinatra was offered the role first in die hard they where under contract to ask him first
Even Bruce has said it's not a Christmas movie. How is something teenagers were saying to just be edgy 34 years ago (and even before that about Lethal Weapon) still going on?
Cause people are stupid
RDJ *is* Tony Stark
2001 A SPACE ODYSSEY
Say no more.
Terminator 2. Greatest movie ever made
Die Hard IS a Christmas movie and if you disagree, you're just wrong!
Die Hard is 100% a christmas movie.
My favorite movie hasn't been made yet!! It's a documentary on how we freed the North Koreans!!! 🤘😜🤘
How does one get a fridge to 88 MPH if the truck breaks down?
Push it off a massive cliff
It is a Christmas movie because the fact it's Christmas is a key plot point, as opposed to a film that just takes place at that time of year.
Why was the holiday important to the plot then? That’s like saying Batman Forever is a Halloween movie lol
Die hard being a Christmas movie is like pineapple on pizza, whatever makes you happy and stop being jerks about it
Expressing my outrage in the comments
[INSERT MY OUTRAGE ABOUT "DIE HARD" HERE]
Die Hard is a Christmas movie. Full stop. I have several favorite movies. Top of the list are Casablanca and Joe vs. The Volcano. Yup. My tastes vary.
12 Angry Men
My wife and I are in different camps when it comes to Die Hard. She is incorrect, and Christmas wouldn't be the same without Die Hard.
Not a C-mas movie
Outrage expressed
Black Christmas is hands down the worst movie I have ever seen. I swear it made me lose IQ points. 😂🤣
You speak too fast.
I like this host and her way of presenting, but i really wish she got a makeover, that hairdo must go.
You almost stayed apolitical. Sad.
_Frankly my dear I don't give a damn_
The BEST movie ever made is 12 Angry Men and I'm NOT a fan of Henry Fonda BUT goddam that movie is amazing
