im a student childrens nurse and all your recent videos have helped me so much gain an understanding of what its like emotionally for parents whos children are in NICU, as so much of our learning is around the babies rather than how you as parents feel too. its really pointed out to me how parents will feel during the time between their baby being born and taking them home. My baby was born via c section at 32 weeks on the 11th of November at 3lb 3oz, she's currently still in hospital so I really really connect with this content. I've watched my baby go from being in an incubator, with IV fluids, on caffeine to remember to breathe, on oxygen and on a monitor... she went up from 1 ml a feed and now she's on 40mls a feed at 4lb 2oz, no IV, no oxygen, in a normal cot and no monitor and coming home tomorrow!!

Thank you for filming this, you find a lot of channels only show the positive births when this is a reality for many. My first born was 6 weeks early and spent 2 weeks in hospital. My second was born 12 weeks early at 1lb 9, spent three months in hospital with lots of ups and downs. Came home with oxygen and stayed on it for a year and thriving and is 3 now! X

I just gave birth through C section to my baby boy at 37 weeks + 4 on 29th after more than 24 hours of labor… My little bean was also small for gestational age, he was in the 7th percentile…
I 100% understand how hard it is with such a small baby, getting him to feed properly and wet diapers and put on enough weight.. These little babies are the toughest and they amaze us everyday with their strength ❤
So so happy that he's home, safe and well. 🤍I just know that Ernie will be such a loving big brother, they'll have a really good close bond 🥰 And as you said, atleast as a positive look, baby is home for Christmas, his 1st Christmas - it'll be so special for all of you!!

Erin- as a first time mum myself I had so many sleepless nights I was scared something was gonna happen during the night with my baby I woke up one morning and slept though and was never so scared in all my life thinking the worst but she slept right through bless her, it’s perfectly normal to feel that way and you are not alone many of us new mums and even 2nd/3rd or even 5th time mums still feel like that I herd the owlet Monitor helped a lot, if you still feeling worried please check it out hopefully it’ll help ease your anxiety he’s absolutely beautiful well done to the both of you
Ps there are pros and cons on the owlet so please read the reviews ect and decide xx

My daughter had her twin girls 10 1/2 weeks early….the NICU is so tough and this experience will forever change you. So glad you are heading home ❤️❤️❤️

I have so much respect for you both for sharing your birth story. My birth also didn't go to plan and I ended with an emergency c section after my placenta arubted and my sons heart rate dropped and we almost lost him. Rome is adorable and I am so glad he is back home with you, Erin and Ernie. Enjoy every moment cos they grow up so quickly❤

I love that you're sharing this. And thank you for sharing it. My little girl is 4 month old now and we were in the baby special care unit for 2 weeks as she was 4 week early and had jaundice. It was the hardest 2 weeks of mine and my husbands life but you will get through it and it will feel like a distant memory very soon, doesn't mean you won't cry every time you think back 😂. Soak in every minute because they grow so quickly!

I'm so pleased he home baby boy he is adorable and so tiny I was in hospital with pre-eclampsia from 20 wks until I had him at 39 weeks I used to be scanned every few days I cant carry boys so I had be sterilised at 6 weeks I had 2 girls before it's was horrible so pleased he's home x❤❤

Our journey is not quite the same as yours but our baby boy Jaxon was born on the 11th of November last year by c-section he was 1week early due to being breech I also breast feed and we are still going at 13months (Well done Erin it will be the most rewarding thing you will ever do and it will amaze you everyday what your body can do)
Jaxon went back into hospital at 5 weeks old with bronchiolitis and was on oxygen for 4 days and had to have a lumbar puncture seeing your little one with tubes and on machines is the worst thing but you get to see how strong they are and little fighters.
So glad you are all home and doing well just in time for Christmas xx

This brought so much memories back to me my baby boy was 5 weeks early and got told all along he was a big baby my placenta ruptured at 35 weeks and he was only 3lb 10 your hospital sounds like they were brilliant,my hospital took my baby boy out of intensive care after 24 hrs and sent him home with me 10 hrs later with not even 24 hrs breast feeding then he got so unwell which lasted all of his younger yrs with ending up being under 5 hospitals because of our local hospital sending him home early,thankfully he 16 now and healthy as can be,but this video brought it all.back to me and placenta rupture should be a big awareness,so glad your baby boy home and doing well xxxxx
