the official project is called #JusticeForOliHerbert. They are on Twitter and facebook that I know of. Check em out. They recently got a billboard crowdfunded and placed right near his home to advertise their point of view.
In prison, the songs are $1.60 each, and we're only given 25 second samples to choose from. I made 12 cents an hour. Sat in there for five years without youtube, internet, video games, having no idea if this was even a popular choice.

This is heart breaking but also a good story. Yes man it was super popular! Me and my sister use to blare this band when we was 14-16 years old. Still an amazing band!
I think this band is truly great. They play whatever they like, so they can attract new fans and keep them entertained at shows. You want something heavy? "The Weak Willed", "Become the Catalyst", "This Calling" are up your alley. Want something softer? "For you", "The Waiting One", "What if I Was Nothing" are good. Want something kind of in the middle? "The Last Time", "The Air That I Breathe", "I'm not Alone", "Two Weeks" are what you should listen to. They aren't selling out, they're just selling. Selling out venues everywhere while you're working a mediocre job, criticizing people making more than you.
Also, Phil has a great range. He is probably one of the best metal vocalists out there today. He can do gutturals, mids, pig squeals, and he can sing decent. The rest of ATR are great musicians too.
Dude this band sucks ass now. The good era was over right after "two weeks", and its arguable that that album was good, really. They just don't " have it" any more.

Phil’s voice is so versatile. Asking Too Much, What if I Was Nothing, and this song, he goes soft and quiet for a few seconds and he sounds excellent. At 2:46 the way his voice broke.... wow

All That Remains keeps being the awesome band we knew back then, some people only like screams and fast double bass. It's their style and its still good, people really need to learn to appreciate music, if you don't like then don't hate on the people that do.

Been married 11 years and thought everything was fine. She tells me out of the blue one day that she cant keep living like this, as if I am supposed to know what the fuck that means. She up and left me, moved into her moms, and left me in a vulnerable position where I had stepped down from my job to pursue college in hopes of getting a stronger career for our future. I brought flowers, I would call her and tell her I was sorry for whatever I did. She doesnt even want to try to mend our marriage, so much for vows.... this world is such a joke. All truly skilled bands evolve their sound. All That Remains has always been the type of group that not only evolves, but progresses it's music. It's not possible for everyone to like every new sound they hear. If you like a band in particular, it's obvious you enjoyed what you were hearing at the moment. I honestly don't understand all the pointless, and irrelevant arguing that goes on. There are many other things you can do with your time besides disagree with anything you hear, or voice your every opinion. As people we should be moving in the direction of positive unification, while head banging to all of our favorite heavy bands.

Atr, i know that this sounds bullshit, but, if you read these comme ts, your music actually helped me. I was in a dark place once. I couldnt get myself out. I had thoughts, I had...chances...and I had help but...the longer I was there the less I wanted help. A friend of mine turned me on your music. Two weeks was my first. After that, I delved in. I dont know how, maybe the songs expressed the side of me I couldnt manifest, or something, but ATR gave me a way to face not only my problems, but myself, and I am alive today. Thanks guys.
All these stupid comments remind me of something. Versatility is frowned upon in the music industry. I LOVE everything ATR has done. They can do ANYTHING in music that they set their minds to.

ATR, this Band brought me to metalcore 15 years ago. This voice is just so sick😵😍
New to metal, my name makes it obvious -.- but I've found a lot of songs totally relatable and I never knew how much all the screaming and yelling in these songs actually give you the feelings of the song and or artist. Only some songs appeal to me, there has to be a deep story behind it all or lyrics that actually make sense unlike Korn or Nirvana (no offense to those who enjoy both artists) i kind of need more songs like this.
Look up disturbed then, if you like them, come to me and I can see what to get you started on. And good song to start off with is either sons of plunder or overburdened. Hope you like them!
+Colten then there's Rapture by Hurt, which is an emotional rollercoaster inspired by a true story of a schizo mother who thought Jesus wanted her to kill her baby. Lyrics and meaning mean to much to me in music, you just have to ignore anything with "core" attached to it to find the good stuff.
You should check out the following: Avatar, Nothing More, Children of Bodom, Escape the Fate (especially their new album Hate Me), and Lamb of God. Might like a few of them.

+Cyanide Jewel Anything off Trivium's album Vengeance Falls too. their other albums (besides Silence in the Snow) are much closer to heavy All that Remains since this is their middle ground.

I really dont understand when people say something like this...they did 3 CDs with this "old sound" you speak of, and they were great I agree...but just because they made these new CDs with their "new sound" that I assume you are referring to...did not magically make their old CDs disappear...I dont understand your point of that statement...you do understand that...when a heavy metal band first gets together and starts making music the singer isn't like "yo guys I love screaming hardcore like this but...I have this weird feeling if I keep doing this for a few years it might cause some permanent damage or something, maybe I should go see Melissa Cross before we start doin any shows?..." Commissar Evan I'd say You Can't Fill My Shadow and Just Moments In Time are pretty fucking heavy and a throwback to older ATR. People don't realize that the singles aren't the only songs on the album, and while ATR doesn't do heavy track after heavy fucking track on their albums anymore, they do have "fan-service" heavy as fuck tracks on their newer albums.

Give 'em a listen. I'm a long-time ATR fan (since This Darkened Heart first came out) and I still enjoy everything they put out. People say they sold out, but one listen to Just Moments In Time, and you'll know they still put out heavy as fuck tracks.
Not Sure Clearly you didnt read my post, and thats fine it was quite lengthy, and actually people didnt really start knowing about the damage to their vocal chords until well...less than a decade ago or so...the point of my post is that most of them are kids when they start and they dont give a shit, they just DGAF, and they dont care about the long term effects or think they are screaming improperly...

I went to an All that Remains concert last night (AA was headlining) at an Amos bar in Charlotte, NC and I honestly LOVED every song they played and they did so well live. I'm going through all the songs they played and. I get chills every time I hear them play. I can't wait for another time to see them live.

For We Are Many was definitely a softer album than their previous ones, but I still love that entire album very much. ATR may have strayed away from their traditional metalcore sound, but even so, they still sound amazing. I'm eager to see what album they'll release next.
