Arc'teryx is higher end kit, but not king. There are manufacturers that absolutely shit on this brand without having an astronomical price tag. Regardless I would love to own anything produced by these guys. Even if they are a tactical, hipster brand.
@@survivalgearofficial oh no I agree. The problem is Arc'teryx does what every MI/LE manufacturer does, that target's civilians as their secondary market; gross inflation!
@@noonespecial6076Crye is King SOF, Fjallraven is king bushcraft. Both are incredibly high priced as well, not make you sick Arc'teryx pricing though. I.G. $300-$600 windbreaker vs Arc'teryx $900-$1200. Crye secondary market for larpers can compete with Arc'teryx pricing at times though. Anyways both are superior in my opinion. When it comes to packs there are a plethora of manufacturers. Though Arc'teryx has a pack that is widely regaeded as GOAT.
@@tomjjackson21 Thank you. This is all new to me so even if you had given me a top 5. I wouldn't even know who any of them are but I will now have a general idea to what to look for for what I am interested in. Thanks again.
The South African army doesn't issue good gear, we use 80s webbing and body armour similar to that of what police use. Wr don't get issued TQs or IFAKs and our helmets are also outdated. No night vision systems either unless you SF or a Pilot. They are serving in active warzones so it would make sense for them to get better kit but they don't so to stay safe I'm gonna have to build my own loadout and hope it meets regulations. Thanks for the help 💯💯
@Nimbus Nimbus i should actually take that comment down because I figured out this was bullshit after he named the same brand for everything 😂they do serve on the front lines though, we fight ISIS and many different rebel forces all over Africa and the Middle East. Its not afghan for the most part but our SF guys are in combat there.

Arcteryx is one of the best manufacturers of outdoor gear. Too bad that their products are so expensive.

I prefer holikon when I check the price of leaf.
Never in a million years would I pay $80 for a polo shirt. Greedy sausages.
Overpriced gear. I can buy a couple of glocks for the price of on of their jackets.

You're right about this. But even though Arc'teryx gear is extremely expensive we can't deny the fact that it's of high quality.
Care to name some of those brands?

Lo verdaderamente triste es que este equipo no puede conseguirse en otros paises...
claro que se puede, por ejemplo en Europa en terrang.fr o tacwrk.com, si tienes paciencia esperas las rebajas de 30-40%.
