Venturing to render Md Rafi Jee's ever greatest rendition, is in itself not only committing oneself to Big risk of failure but doing justice with it is at stake. Mr Kapadia has done excellent job of improvising instead of simply copy-singing it. He has rendered it woefully excellently. I salute him from the bottom of my heart for this. He has ventured on 'ghazal' style at places and 'khayal' at others, which has made more classical of the classic song. Loved it, sir.

Although in Geet & Ghazals the gayaki is underplayed sothst the shayar's verses are clearly communicated; but here there is a classical singer & he is giving in his bit, his very own and while doing this he is so deeply immersed & intoxicated by the song, the original singer & the lively audience, applauding his work so much. Never heard you earlier- this accidental meeting is one of the finest surprises- a great tribute to this great song which is a combination of three greats- Rafi, Roshan & Sahir.
You performed very well with your own improvisations.....without losing the essence of the song.
The composition and the musicians along with singer completes the song -this has been proved here again by the superb tabla sangat and your own harmonium playing.

Mohd Rafi Sabh sing this song with nectar and merit in his voice.This style is typical of Raag Yaman. Singers should try to imitate the original as close as possible then the audience can and will appreciate the rendition.By doing a few teens and ghamak inappropriately kills the beauty of the masters blood sweat and tears.Good luck sir.
