"La Vinteren Vare Evig" is probably one of the best black metal songs ever written. The riffing sequence at the end is worth the praise alone. Seeing it performed live with Kvarforth transports it a whole new realm of awesome. From his drunken manifestations to puking, but still able to hit the right notes when necessary.

Well i think you should know that.....the mainman,songwritter and founder of the band is Sykelig and he is Hellin.He is known as Morpheas and he was co-founder of the inffamous Black Metal band NAER MATARON!So i think that this GREAT band Den Saakaldte is mostly Hellenic and partly Norwegian/Sweedish!!!...My total respect to Morpheas/Sykelig.

There needs to be more unique black metal bands out there. Den Saakaldte's use of sinister piano and brass instruments (although not on this song) adds a whole new dimension to the music. Add a great drummer and one of the most disturbing vocalists on the scene and you have one hell of a band. Too bad Kvarforth has left, would have loved to have seen these guys play.
Niklas is doing very impressive vocals in this perfomance.

I absolutely agree with you. This band was almost like a revelation, and then it just died. But still. All of the guys are still around, so maybe they'll make another albom some time :)

Niklas is epic, pure and simple. Bums me out that hes too fucked to know the lyrics at one point, but the show he puts on, pure fucking agony, it's epicly brilliant! He is the incarnation of dsbm.
