My cousin Steph was a dancer in the Moulin Rouge. Long time ago though, when Alan Whicker filmed it.

When the Moulin Rougue visited London for a royal command performance they could only do the Can Can,and not stage anything else that was forbidden,British Pathe filmed VIPs and their wife's and guests visiting the Moulin Rougue in 1946,and bare breasted performances were not on the menu, some of these VIPs were foreign government politicians,so all the dancers were covered up,and to be honest dancing bare breasted on stage in front of strangers is not art it is soft core porn.

Can you explain to me the need for young girls to want to expose their breasts on a public stage in front of male dancers and an audience of mostly foreign strangers ?,what is their motive in doing so and what does it achieve ?,as one former dancer at the Moulin Rouge (Lisa O'Brien) told me,these girls do it for the money and are mainly foreign, they are paid more than the other girls who dance covered up,and that topless dancing girls add erotism and glamour to the show, these are 18+ only entertainment shows, yet video clips of these stage performances are down loaded to u tube for children to see, people down loading to advertise for subscribers, how very twisted and sad.

@@johnquinn7068 What is the motive or purpose of any dance? What is the purpose of your stupid comment? There are much worse things in the world to worry about then women's breast being seen on a stage. And don't worry, no one has ever been harmed by seeing breasts, even children.

Moulin Rouge was famous when women used to cover even their heels, today you can see almost everything on the beaches so it doesn't have anymore that wow factor

No comment yet from France 24,i wonder why,the last time the Moulin Rouge visited the UK was in 1977 for the Royal command performance at the London Palladium in front of the queen, they danced the world famous Can Can,but they have not visited the UK since then, because of their 18+ adult rated stage displays of topless dancers which is against the law in the UK,British Pathe made a documentry on the Moulin Rouge,it lasted 1 hour, the visitors were all VIPs from various countries, some of them politicians, and during the stage show all the girls were covered up,so why do they go topless,is it for the tourist trade ?as the bulk of the audience are foreign tourists, that is why they dance topless, take away the tourists and the place wouldn't survive without them.

he comments on every video relating to the lido with the same story. For someone who is so opposed, he spends an awefully long time on these videos and long winded replies
