you should get a sprinkler system installed around the compound that can spray areas on track so that you can drift in the wet and not have as much tire wear when you don't want it.

Or just use a hose...or a bucket

I don’t think so. I’m pretty sure they said the clutch kick was basically a neutral drop. I’m intrigued to see if this would even last a track day.

In all seriousness, though, it has been awesome to see the progress of this car and development for the platform. The A90 world gets more options and capabilities from the car while we get some rather interesting and unique insight via the CZcams content.
This whole series has been by far the best content you’ve had in a long time. Seeing the development and satisfaction coming out of getting this done has been absolutely phenomenal
Adam you said you cant find any another car that uses the 1.25 thread pitch so I thought you should know that the BRZ/FRS/Gt86 aka the twins use the 1.25 thread pitch that you could probably incorporate to use on your supra.

this electronic manual mod is going to be how we, as car guys, will be able to have manual cars in a time that less and less are made
AdamLZ always one step ahead of the game! Once this has been figured perfectly, I guarantee this will become a more popular option, seen as most cars are manufactured with a Automatic gearbox! Great progress so far, really hooked on this series with the Supra.

So considering the Supra has a ZF 8HP transmission could this same thing be applied to lets say a Charger that also comes with a ZF 8HP transmission. Be interesting to see as wrecked Hellcats are not super cheap second hand but could be used in this same manner as a real comfortable drift week car. My guess it would be like a chaser. Idk seems like it could be interesting.
As a charger owner this would be so cool to see. 2015/2016 hellcats are like the same price as the used 6cyl a90s anyway.
For hellcats manuals are somewhat common so it wouldn’t make a whole lot of sense

This is one of the coolest things I’ve seen in a while and really gets me hype for that platform, as well as b58 BMWs. I think we’re going to see a lot more people doing the auto/manual or the dct/manual thing.

Dct builds are gonna be so sick. I’ve seen some in straight line and track cars but being able to drift a dct car is sick.
It's not a dct. Zf 8 speed. Same thing that's in the bmws and chargers. Regular torque converter transmission. Fast one though
@@Maroco918 achieves full lockup of the toque converter, so its better for getting the power down with less losses.

@@SeventhCircle77 no sir. Zf8hp is the transmission it uses. Bmw doesn't even put the dct in the m4 or m3 anymore. You can only get it in the m2 comp in the current line up
@@pollo.888 it has full lock above 35mph in all gears. Similar to what Honda does with their 10 speeds

I’m concerned for the clutch packs in the trans, sure they might be fine for a little bit but to replace them would be a very expensive endeavor in terms of time and money. Curious to see how long it’ll last

I feel like on the tie rod thing, someone there would know how to thread on a lathe for OD threads and be able to bore and tap some ID threads and just build a heim adapter. Or weld the threaded part of stock tie rod on the rack side to a heim adapter for the outer portion. You have a machine shop in house more or less.
you should have the shifts set aggressive for sport mode and softer when your not in sport mode so you can change it on the fly (i have no idea what i’m talking about)

8:50 the TCU has to message the BCM and the BCM has to send the message to the dash. When using CAN the transmit and receive packets are messaged by importance. Gear indication on the dash is not that important according to the BCM.
The old school always merch drops always make me wanna win a car I'd have to drive out of the way to enjoy 😉
