Hello. The Y axis has two stepper motors. How to make them work together? Thank you!

Great vid Mr Webb, is the retraction off of the home switch preset in Mach or something you must set? I have switches that will home but not retract and throw the estop.
Mach does it automatically.
Can I ask you why you decided to use Mach 3 when you could have used the SMC 5-5-N-N that you talk about in your midi CNC or would the SMC 5-5-N-N
no work with the larger stepper motors?
The SMC5 would run this ok, the SMC5 will run NEMA 34s and 42s
Hi Roger, Enjoyed the very almost complete 2nd CNC router build :-) . Got a quick question, I'm looking at an offline controller as I've found MACH3 to be a bit buggy so was looking at either the SMC 5-5-N-N or the PC based Centroid Acorn. However the Centroid states it is a step/direction but my existing stepper drivers are pulse/direction I think. I've already had a driver fail (30 mins after first use) so replacing all 3 won't be such a chore if need be but I don't want to go down the route of replacing the stepper motors, yet. Long term I will be prob looking at doing a new build, probably a small CNC with a working area of 400X200 and fixed gantry so I can concentrate on machining Alloys with more than the 65MM Z travel of my current 3020T. Thanks in anticipation of comments.
Hi have a look. at my midi CNC router build with a SMC5-5-N-N
Thanks for this, I just got done setting up a 4x8 CNC table from China, unfortunately I am using a Chinese Mach 3 board so hope all goes ok until I learn the machine and I can always upgrade. So I got the machine moving with the keyboard, but how do I use the hand wheel, it is connected but will not work (WHB04B). I will probably be joining your Patreon sir, I am gonna need all the advice and tips I can get!
Hi, there is a facility on my patron pages for technical help

pls help and explain to me - I have limit switches on both ends of the X - Z axis. The Z has a limit switch at the top of the Z axis. do I still need to config the table size (how much X Y Z IN CONFIG SETTING) - TIA
Yes! ;-))
@@rogerwebb9600 Thank you. Could you help me to set up my table - I am willing to pay for your help - I have a 5 axis Trunion CNC - we can use Skype to do this.
How do we set step pulse signal length in motor tuning? My stepper driver manufacturer states that it should have a minimum of 2.5uS, but Mach3 doesn't store the value I write there 😕
Hi, see the next video in about 5 hours, but start with the step pulse I have set in this video.
@@rogerwebb9600 Hello Sir, I am referring to step pulse value box, not acceleration or speed.
I can't seem to find a way to set and store a value greater than 0. Mach3 resets the value after clicking OK button. 😕
Set it to (250) and see if it works ok
OK, steps pulse!!! put in 2 or 3, I don't think you can put in .5
@@rogerwebb9600 I already tried that, it doesn't store the value. It seems like it stores the value, but when we come back to check, it's already reset to 0 again.
First 😅🤣
