When I was a small kid, we had a cassette of his songs. My father exposed me to all wonderful ghazals by Sir Ghulam Ali and Sir Mehdi Hasan and the like. Ever since I was four I have heard these songs and Meri Ruh mein utar gayi hai ye sensibility. I can appreciate this fully, mere bachpan ki yaadein insab mein hain. My father is no more, but I am so glad that his favourite music is my favourite music too. He made sure I don’t miss this treasure!

Here's the Heaven ! I don't remember when I started listening the great Guru, maestro Ghulam Ali Ghazal songs. But I'm sure, I have been travelling with him, tasting the nectar of his eternal songs to the Heaven since 2015. May I prostrate and touch his feet shedding my tears of bliss !
