My dad said its not a xl 500 just an xl Ford XL without the Galaxie feautures Youre lucky to have the top of the line model xl. Also the LTD didnt have the fastback in a four door sedan or two door coupe not fast back. Please look it up with respect and im not being smart it had 390 engine insignia on the racing stripe on the front fender my dad knows this because he had one too btw is it the 390 or 427? I love the car too its hot. Was the shifter converted to a 4 speed standard? Thankyou for reading.
UfosAndAliensAreReal that is no FE engine. It’s a 302. Tires have too short sidewall, no sport mirror, it’s not a real XL as far as I can tell. Beautiful paint job though. My 1968 Country Squire was the same color but never looked that good.

My father had a blue one with all white interior. 390 cid, 4 speed, holley carb, offenhauser intake and posi rear end. I loved that car!
I had a white one with a black vinyl top and blue interior. Man, I miss that car to this day.

The 500 and XL are separate models.
The Galaxie 500 part was dropped from from the XL in 1967
