Beauty on the outside is like a nice fresh coat of paint. It doesn't mean that what's underneath the paint isn't rotten. Not saying that Joe is rotten, LOL, but the cliche "You can't judge a book by its cover" is always applicable. Just look at Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.
He wanted to have kids and Sophia refused to have any more kids, she already has a young son from a previous relationship, that disagreement put a huge strain on their relationship.
This man is sooooooooo HOTTTTTTT but also funny, well-spoken, down to earth, humble, smart, kind ... read in a small article in People (by Sofia) that he and Sofia broke up bc he wanted kids and she did not. Too bad they didn't discuss this before getting married, bc I really liked them as a couple.

His Grandfather was actually a lighter completed African American man that his grandmother had an affair with. You can find it on Professor Gates show "Finding Your Roots."
He didn't explain that very well here, but Yes. In fact, Professor Gates says that they'll be getting together for an update on his African American side of the family.
