  • I built a bat out of scrap metal, recycled electronics and other E-Waste! This project has been in the works for a long time and I’m so happy with how it turned out. Let me know what you think, and if I should update the wings! I’d love to know what you guys would like to see me make next! For more junk art subscribe!

    You should totally fill up the wings that will just complete the look 😃

    • @zakmiskrycreations

      I think you might be right! I just need to figure out a way to do it that doesn’t cover up all the work that went into making them haha

      @@zakmiskrycreations maybe you can use a thin strip of sheet metal folded in half vertically like a c channel and then weld it to the the wings

      @@mgulhaneyeah that’s a great idea actually!

    Use a fine metal mesh for the wings

    • @zakmiskrycreations
      @zakmiskrycreations  Před 3 měsíci

      Yeah I’ve been thinking about this too! I’ve used it on some other pieces in the past and has always been a cool material to work with!

    If you don't already have some on hand then I'm not sure how easy it is to source them but for the wings i might suggest x-ray films cut down to size.
    There might also be some interesting sheets to be found in flatscreen tv's and monitors

      Oh I love that idea of the X-Ray films, and you’re right about the TVs and monitors, I am always surprised by how many layers they have

    I think it might be cool to use some translucent ribbon cables, or Polyimide Film tape for the wings

    What about a metal mesh screen material for the wings?

    • @zakmiskrycreations

      Definitely a cool option, I’ve used speaker mesh on builds before and think it would look pretty cool!

    Great work! Instead of adding the tiny bits of metal to the tips of the nails it might work to cut or grind the tips down to a more manageable shape to fit them together...

    • @zakmiskrycreations
      @zakmiskrycreations  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Thanks! Yeah this definitely should’ve been the strategy, once I had started though I didn't want to change it incase the wings looked different! Next time I will 100% be taking your advice haha

    Holy heck that is cool! Also that's the first time I've seen a tiny little pulse welder like that and I immediately want one, but I just looked up the price and changed my mind lol

      @@zakmiskrycreationsIt's awesome and you're crazy skilled with it!

  • @Darius.Khan.Entertainment

    Hey man I appreciate your videos you have helped me with a few ideas you are very talented with this work I think the old umbrella fabric would look good on wings even try have separate parts of the fabric between the metal nails not just over top of it so it's like a trim and will match the style of the gold stuff you've done, it might be Harder to connect the fabric to it though you have to think of a way for that, your good at doing that though haha

    • @Darius.Khan.Entertainment
      @Darius.Khan.Entertainment Před dnem

      But then again might look good and be easier just on top on back too if you get more transparent fabric so you can still see the nail shape through it cause those nails joined together like that is such a cool look like the spider legs you done

    This little vampire looks wonderful ! The skin for the wings you would be spoiled for choice I feel . There are so many beautiful black faux snake or lizard skins available although in keeping with the use of up-cycled parts the umbrella would be great too. Oh to hell with it... get the wife's black leather jacket out ! :)

    • @zakmiskrycreations
      @zakmiskrycreations  Před 3 měsíci

      It’s definitely a tough choice! That’s kinda why I’ve been holding off finishing it for ages! But I’m committed actually making a decision rather than procrastinating any longer haha

    • @zakmiskrycreations
      @zakmiskrycreations  Před 3 měsíci

      Thank you! And yeah in hindsight the eye’s definitely aren’t very accurate, I think I was trying to be a bit more stylistic for the face with exaggerated features like the fangs!
