@@mrchico2621It's tune, not choon
Def turned out to be an all time classic
I was nineteen years old when this song broke onto the radio. I had a delivery job, and I would drive all over the city, listening to the radio all the while, so every time this song came on, I heard it. Man, if only I could go back and spend a day in my old life.
Little did they know that this AMAZING song would transcend decades.
80S WAS THE GREATEST
I wish we could go back!
“Welcome to your life, there’s no turning back”
I was 20 and stationed on Camp Geiger ,North Carolina, when this was released . Unforgettable times ,and memories. When we're living in that moment, no person could convince us that we would desperately long for those days back. The 80s were awesome, and I'm thankful for the experience.
Amen brother!
HOOAH
I want my eighties back !
What stops you?
Me too
Eu também!!!😭😭😢😞
so many memories
👍👍👍👍
Best year of music for me: 1985!! 😗
TAMBÉM CONCORDO QUE 1985 FOI O ANO "" THE BEST "" DA MÚSICA INTERNACIONAL 🙏🎶💜85🙏🎶💜85🙏🎶💜85🙏 ‼️
Im Brazil this band left a mark in a entire generation. 80's forever .
One of the Top 10 best songs of the 80s that still sounds so good today.
Top 10? Lol
There can never be music like this today
This band belongs in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
It's a pop band from the 80's.
@@pelleohpop rock. Aslo, Tupac in the Rock and Roll hall of fame.
I remember riding in my mother's car in March of 1985 and this song came on. Love it.
It was the same situation for me but the car was mine !80’s was truly magical, unbelievable and unforgettable, music fashion and culture they was better than today! But sorry I haven’t a De Lorean car to come back in that decade!!😅😜👍🙏
@@AngeloCapra Very cool!
Listening this masterpiece is a magical moment great 80s
I love tears for fears and 80s. One of best song all time. I was born in 1980. Im italian
One of the best "riffs" ever at a start of a song...you know right away what this song is as soon as it comes on...legendary group...
I always think this as well , the start of the song or riffs unreal takes me back an to that girlfriend I was with at that time 😊
when the music was music
I was born in 85, and I only have a few memories from the 80’s. But I can tell you, 1985 was a special year for music.
So was I. In 85 great things came out
This is one of the most beautiful songs, definitely my all-time favorite! ❤❤❤
The 80s definitely had the best music groups!🎶 🎵 👌 🙌 😌
80’s was the best music
The musical personification of the 80s. I’m soooooooo jealous of anyone who was alive to experience the 80s. I was born in 1992.
this was th era of true music...the peak of the music, quality in every single aspect and then, after 90s was falling down into shape of these days, pure sink hole
as a person born in 2010 really darn wish i was born in the 80’s. there were no phones for people to be distracted with and the music was great!. i just wish i was there for that
People like you give me hope for your generation.
It was a fantastic time to be alive. We witnessed first hand the digital revolution. Imagine walking up to a girl and asking her out and she'd say yes (hopefully!) and it was normal and you wouldn't be labeled a creep because there was no other way to ask LOL. We had better paying jobs in this country, we still had a level of respect and common courtesy that you don't see much anymore. Things moved slower but at the same time I don't think 1 out of 3 Americans was hooked on barbiturates, benzodiazepines or opioids like we have today.
@@justacinnamonbun8658 as a GenX born in ‘68, I agree with you 100%
No you don't, arthritis sucks lol
👏👏👏👏
Their lyrics were ahead of the 80’s and very fitting for today!
Just wrote that.
I know. The lyrics for Mad World also are fitting for today.
What do the lyrics mean, anyone, please?
@@SphereOfTheEarth I think pretty self explanatory.
@@r4h4al Would you explain please?
Wow no cell phones love it I want to go back.
So happy to be transported back to the 80's even if only for a little under 5 minutes.....
This song is an absolute time machine, for those that lived it, you are just pulled right back into the 80s
True, but correction..
We're pulled back into reality. It doesn't matter the year it's from or the current year, or anything in between, this song transcends time itself.
Also, remember that this song was written and recorded before they knocked down the Berlin wall..
Yes you are
beautiful lyrics
Awesome band tears for fears everybody want to rule the world 🌍🌍🎤🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🥁🥁🥁
Lock at these People....omg i miss this wonderfull Time😢
Absolutely brilliant live performance back then! Thank you Countdown!
That was REMARKABLE 😱
This is the 80’s song that defines the 80’s! Best group EVER! ❤
honestly I think they are
Better then RUSH?
Lol..ugh no
What a great song!!
This is one of my favourite 80's tracks, it always transports me into a nostalgic era. The oldies are most certainly goodies! ♥️
One of the top songs of the 80's.
I'm 37 but was raised listening to them (and all the 80s icons) I'm lucky ❤
Pure '80's!
I was born in 1997, and I would give anything… ANYTHING AT ALL to live during that time period. No phones, normal society, and this band playing this song!
I want to go back to the good times.. and never leave ..we were very lucky those of us who lived through this era..
Went through them all, born in “61” here, I wish I could go back, life was much better.
I'm just finishing off my time machine, to go back to the 80's, I'll get some cassettes to play along the way, who's coming??
👍😎
ME!
Probably all the other patients with you in the Mental hospital
MASTER-PIECE!
Never knew countdown was a thing.
This is like watching MTV unplugged for the 80's music, shlt is dope af.
I was in my 20s in the 80s , Pocket full of cash , Carefree & listening to the best music , Man I miss it
I can almost touch the 80s again. Oh, if I could go back in time
It sure would be sweet, even for a little while.

Lyrics
Welcome to your life
There's no turning back
Even while we sleep
We will find you
Acting on your best behaviour
Turn your back on mother nature
Everybody wants to rule the world
It's my own design
It's my own remorse
Help me to decide
Help me make the most
Of freedom and of pleasure
Nothing ever lasts forever
Everybody wants to rule the world
There's a room where the light won't find you
Holding hands while the walls come tumbling down
When they do I'll be right behind you
So glad we've almost made it
So sad they had to fade it
Everybody wants to rule the world
I can't stand this indecision
Married with a lack of vision
Everybody wants to rule the world
Say that you'll never never never never need it
One headline why believe it?
Everybody wants to rule the world
All for freedom and for pleasure
Nothing ever lasts for ever
Everybody wants to rule the world
It’s the year 2023 still sounding fresh
Im 69 still love them
I love 80’s music
80's forever. Grande hit do dueto Tears for Fears. ❤
Beautiful
Always and forever my 80s jam!! Roland on that guitar is gold.
Best music was in the eighties
This is the greatest song ever created. As relevant today as it ever was. As sublime to the ears as it is epic in existential scope. AMAZING
THE GREAT SONG FOREVER....
I can listen to this song over and over (and I have), Still sounds good. It is so upbeat and has lots of meaning
One of my favorite albums of all time. This song immediately has me turn up the volume and brings me back to summer , driving a convertible ! Genius!
A fantastic piece of writing .. brilliantly sung and played
These cool dudes still rock this classic piece in their 60’s
It is a great combo of deep meaning and rhythmic nostalgia
Nowadays...they don't produce these kind of music anymore ...
Concordo plenamente. Não mesmo!
NO KIDDING
Arguably the DUMBEST thing I've heard in years
I love that song
Great musical song writing...... amazing song .. this song got everyone in the mood before they was going out and when they was out on a saturday or friday night in the Uk , infact the whole world in the 80´s ......
Remember this song , when it came out !!!!

Phenomenal song! I would love to go back in time!
Love this song every time I hear this song it’s puts me in a good mood
So classic!!! Weet nog deze aflevering op TV was 📺👑👑
This is very true "Everybody wants to rule the World"
Tears for fears forever❤
Tears for fears, The Smiths, The Cure, Siouxsie, 80's was amazing. 😊
Tears for Fears definitely one of the best bands and they are touring right now 2023. I hope they play in the Connecticut area because I will definitely go see them. Songs from the big chair is one of the best albums of all time..
Uma das mais lindas músicas já compostas
Best song of the 80's. I never tire of it
Poor Curt. This was the last big hit he sang lead vocals on.
Un groupe incroyablement sous estimé des 80's.
Le son reste indémodable.
Beautiful vesion of this song
Was born in 1985.. the best year so far
Tears for Fears their music is timeless…
es una de las mejores bandas de los 80 s saludos atodos los que conosen esa musica
musica que acalma nossa alma maravilhosa
I remember this great song in high school. I was in 10th grade in 1985. Miss the 80’s !
La mejor banda de los 80s, sin discusión. Y tal vez la mejor canción que haya llegado a la radio en los 80. Cada disco traía dos o tres joyitas. Incluso los de los 90s, cuando Roland Orzabal quedó sólo llevando la banda.
Masterpiece!!!
Reminds me of the movie Real Genius!!! Watched it all the time in the 80’s!!👍🏼❤️
Ohh,😢 1984-1985❤
